The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams are back to feuding.
The Atlanta OG, who once called Porsha her “little sis,” dragged the mother of one online over the weekend over a business deal. In a series of clips posted to her Instagram, NeNe explained that Netflix was interested in casting her for a part in the series The Upshaws. Former RHOA cast member Kim Fields directed this episode, and Porsha was slated to star alongside her.
“I was excited to do it. It’s a comedy, I love comedy [and] I used to have a comedy show … so comedy is something I love to do and was really happy to do it,” NeNe said. “They told me that Porsha Williams Guobadia was also playing in this particular series. She would be side-by-side with me. I was excited; I hadn’t seen Porsha. We always have a good laugh when we see each other, so I was like, ‘Me and Porsha gonna kill this part.’” However, things took a turn a few days later.
NeNe is furious with Porsha over her claims
After NeNe flew into LA for rehearsal, she noted she didn’t see her fellow Housewives star on set, saying, “Porsha never came.”
“Production called me and asked me if I had any issues with any Housewives because they were going to be recasting the other position,” she said before saying Cynthia Bailey eventually took the role.
“I was later told that Porsha did not show up and said that she did not want to work with me [because] we had had issues from the past, and she did not want to work with me.”
The New Normal star continued, explaining that once she reached out to Porsha, the latter explained she was hurt that NeNe hadn’t reached out to her amid her divorce issues with Simon Guobadia.
“I am shocked to hear that Porsha would go to a production company and say that she doesn’t want to work with me because we’ve had a lot of issues in the past. What lots of issues did we have in the past?” NeNe asked. “We don’t have any issues that we can’t work together. We are professionals.”
Is Porsha starless?
It’s no secret that Porsha and NeNe have had their share of fall-outs. They feuded during later seasons of RHOA, specifically after Porsha’s incident with Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks. The two also fought in 2019 amid Porsha’s spin-off, Porsha’s Having a Baby, airing on Bravo.
“You lying ass big fat hungry bitch, you know I never put my hands on you!” a text from NeNe read. “You so full of shit! Go enjoy your 1-time 3-episode special!”
In the video NeNe shared online, she noted that she and Porsha hadn’t had any problems in recent years. “We’ve had petty things; we’re on a reality show,” she said. “So we obviously are gonna have some sort of issues. But we’ve not had anything where we could not work together. I’m sad and disappointed that Porsha would go to any company and say that she’s had issues with me and that we cannot work together. That is a lie.”
NeNe finished, saying she believed Porsha wasn’t willing to “share the spotlight” with her. “That’s it. And professionals can share the spotlight.”
“Porsha is not a star. She is a Bravolebrity. Be clear.”
