Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s dark divorce journey and shambles of a financial situation has damaged more than just their (already laughable) public image. The Don’t Be Tardy alums have six innocent children – four are still minors – who have been heavily affected.
We’ve seen several extremely chaotic body-cam clips from the Milton, GA police departments’ visits to Kim and Kroy’s crumbling house of cards and scratch-offs. It has to be unimaginably traumatic for their young kids to witness their parents’ toxicity, day-in and day-out.
A judge decided it’s finally time to do right by the poor Biermann brood. Recent court documents show that Kim and Kroy are now under the watch of a parental fitness monitor. And, they’ll have to foot the bill for it.
Kim and Kroy: Paying to have their parenting observed
Kim and Kroy now face additional expenses, despite being broke as a joke and a hair away from homelessness. TMZ says they were ordered to hire someone to assess their parenting abilities.
Court docs reveal that the former couple has been assigned a parental fitness evaluator to oversee them and their four minor children: Kroy Jr., Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane.
The evaluator’s responsibilities include conducting interviews with Kim, Kroy, and the kids. They can also conduct home visits, observe interactions between the parents and children, observe the children at school, and consult with professionals who have knowledge of the family’s situation.
Further, the evaluator has the authority to thoroughly investigate any and everything about the case. This could mean accessing records from various sources. The Department of Family and Children Services, the kids’ school, hospitals, medical providers, law enforcement, and more are all fair game.
However, this monitoring service will cost them. Both Kim and Kroy have to pay a one-time fee of $2,500. So, $5,000 total. Considering Kim and Kroy have been peddling their used clothes and accessories on Instagram to get out of their deep financial hole, $5,000 is a chunk of change.
The Biermann kids were drawn into their tumultuous divorce when one of them called the police to intervene in a fight between Kim and Kroy back in November. This was at least the third time officers came to their home.
They’ll probably skip this new bill too. But, the court evidently believes that monitoring their parenting is best for the children.
