Welcome back for our Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Episode 7 recap. Last time, Scheana struggled with her feelings about Sandoval. This week’s episode, “Written in the Stars,” features Sandoval realizing that he probably won’t have closure with Rachel Leviss. Here’s everything that you need to know about Pump Rules, Season 11, Episode 7!
The witch is back
When Sandoval arrived home from Tahoe, Ariana knew the moment that he entered the house.
“That’s the sound of Tom Sandoval coming back from Tahoe. It’s like the Wicked Witch of the West flying around,” Ariana stated.
In his confessional, Sandoval reflected on the trip and the status of his relationships. “The stench of the scandal is starting to wear off,” he said. Slow your roll, dude.
Scheana asks Lisa for advice
Scheana went to see Lisa at Villa Rosa. She was grieving the loss of her friendship with Sandoval. Lisa asked if Scheana had spoken to Ariana about it. “It’s just hard when I try to tell her how I’m feeling,” Scheana explained. “She literally said, ‘I don’t want to hear about it.’”
Scheana talked about the dynamic between her and Ariana in her confessional. “I’m afraid to express how I feel because it’s not about me. It’s never been about me. It’s only about her,” she said. Well, Sandoval did cheat on Ariana, not Scheana. Plus, Scheana was shocked when she found out that Ariana was doing Dancing with the Stars. Being on that show was always Scheana’s dream. For her, it was like a “punch to the gut.”
Lala went to bat for Scheana
Lala and Ariana met for coffee. When Ariana mentioned that Scheana called her from Tahoe crying, Lala broke it down. “I’ve never seen Scheana this upset … ever,” she said.
Lala didn’t understand why Ariana didn’t defend Scheana from the online hate over the photo with Sandoval. Ariana said, “I’m not going to post and have my sh*t reposted as headlines and stuff.” Then Lala asked her why she couldn’t tell her fans to leave Scheana alone. “I guess I could,” Ariana responded.
But Ariana will not budge on allowing Sandoval a window into her life through mutual friends. She doesn’t want to be around Sandoval at all and she will leave if a situation makes her feel icky. “But that is exactly what she’s nervous about,” Lala said.
“I’m not the person to come to with the Sandoval sympathy train,” Ariana replied. She wants Scheana to be happy, but Ariana is also prioritizing her happiness. And right now, it looks like those two goals don’t align.
According to Ariana, Scheana is the gateway for Sandoval to gain access to their friends, and in turn, “ice” her out. But isn’t that what Ariana wants the group to do to Sandoval?
Katie wants Scheana to move on
Katie and Kristina Kelly met Lala and Scheana for dinner. Scheana explained about the meditation exercise with Sandoval, and claimed that he cried “genuine tears.”
She acknowledged that he was more upset about losing his friendship with her than losing Ariana. Can Katie make more cringey facial expressions, please?
Then Scheana stated that while Ariana was “making millions of dollars and living her best f*cking life,” Scheana was still grieving. She reminisced about Sandoval welcoming her into the group, and Katie told her to let go of 12 years ago. After Lala defended Scheana, Katie said that she was “really waiting for the conversation to be over.” SAME!
But can Katie let it go? Of course not. She told Scheana, “With all due respect, I simply wish you would get over it.” Then she explained how Sandoval interfered in her marriage to ex-husband, Schwartz. Katie also called him a “trash bag of a human” and “a demon.” Katie is Ariana’s number-one fan in the group.
Lisa shares a secret about Rachel
Sandoval confided in Lisa that he was “worried about Rachel.” He wants to be friends with her, at least. Lisa blurted out that she had spoken to Rachel. “Some of the things she said, she just didn’t seem very happy with you,” she revealed.
Lisa stated that Rachel told her, “He said that life is lying.” Sandoval denied it.
“Like I just want to give her a f*cking hug and like know that she’s okay,” he said. Lisa urged him to call her, but Rachel blocked him.
“Well, then it’s over,” Lisa said. In her confessional, Lisa said that Rachel told her she didn’t love Sandoval anymore.
Then, Sandoval broke it down in his confessional. Rachel told him that after the program, sometimes people actually stay at the facility. Sandoval told her that she needed to face the real world eventually. That made Rachel angry. And if he didn’t agree with whatever she was told at the facility, then he was not good for her.
Lala wants to expand her family
Lisa visited Lala at her office. She is in the process of rebranding her company. Now she is focused on the business and finding a sperm donor. Lala doesn’t want a baby daddy floating around.
In her confessional, a teary Lala said that she wanted to have a baby that was hers alone, that no one could ever take it from her. No one to share the kid with on Christmas Day. It was an emotional moment for the soon-to-be mother of two.
Are Schwartz and Jo dating?
Schwartz and Jo Wenberg headed to SUR and hung out with Ally and James. As for the DJ himself, Sandoval’s actions in the future will decide the fate of their friendship. Suddenly, they looked up and Sandoval was across the room.
So, he joined the group. Sandoval gifted James some sunglasses that made him look like a middle-aged man. Ally felt like Sandoval was trying to buy James.
In dueling confessionals, Schwartz and Jo talked about their relationship. Schwartz admitted that they had a fling. But according to Jo, they last hooked up a month ago. While Schwartz claims their relationship was platonic, she feels like they had feelings for each other. I think that Jo and Schwartz make a cute, quirky couple.
The Rat Pack Dinner
Now Schwartz, who has discovered his inner event planner, organized a Rat Pack-themed boys’ night.
Schwartz, James, Brock, and Sandoval dressed up and hit a steakhouse. Since Sandoval hasn’t heard from Rachel in over a month, he is going to move on. He said it has been 15 years since he “was single, dating around.” Dude, you were “dating around” when you were still in a relationship with Ariana.
Can the stars align for these friendships?
Meanwhile, Ally was hosting an astrology night. Katie, Ariana, Scheana, and Lala arrive, ready for a fun evening. Or drama. It could go either way.
Ariana confided that she has not made “millions of dollars” since Scandoval. After buying the house with Sandoval, Ariana spent a lot of money on the sandwich shop. So, in March, before she learned of Sandoval’s affair, she was down to her last $2,000.
Eventually, Ariana asked Ally why James chose to hang with Sandoval. Lala spoke up and told Ariana that people were concerned about losing her friendship. Ariana doesn’t believe that James had a change of heart after Sandoval hooked up with Rachel. But Lala believes in the healing power of time.
Lala asked Ariana how she would feel if James decided to hang out with Sandoval. “I don’t f*ck with that,” she said. I know this wasn’t long after the betrayal, and I’m an Ariana fan, but making people choose a side is unfair.
Lala pointed out to Scheana that now she knows where she will stand with Ariana if she forgives Sandoval. In Ariana’s eyes, you can forgive him. You just can’t hang out with him.
Lala responded that people might not like what she had to say next. Katie called Lala “a b*tch” in a light-hearted way, and Lala got heated. “Disengage. Disengage,” she warned Katie. There’s the Lala we know!
Ally broke up the discord by explaining to the class how astrology explains our differences. In the end, Lala apologized to Ariana. But Katie was still salty.
