Fans of Season 2 of The Traitors noticed the vibe between Faithful CT Tamburello and Traitor Phaedra Parks. Phaedra’s “Castle Daddy,” helped her across a rushing river. And they were cute as could be strolling along holding hands.
During the torch-lighting ceremony in the woods, Phaedra chose to save CT. Not Parvati Shallow, her fellow Traitor. There was no doubt that there was a bond between Phaedra and CT.
But did it cross into romance? Entertainment Weekly has the scoop.
Was it just a friendship, or a showmance?
“Honestly I have too much respect for her to try to turn it into something it’s not, just to try to be a flash in the pan. I don’t think that would be fair, I don’t think that’s the right thing to do. I mean, what would I do, move to Atlanta?” CT said. He added, “I can’t do that.”
“No, nothing real happened, I’ll be honest with you. It was fun. I loved her because she’s a cornball. She was great,” The Challenge vet added. “I would say there was a sense of sincerity, for sure. But it was also playing a game, you know?” When it became clear that Phaedra was a Traitor, he voted to banish her.
Even host Alan Cumming weighed in on CT and Phaedra’s relationship. “I think there’s as much chance of a romance between CT and Phaedra as there’s between me and CT or me and Phaedra, actually,” he quipped. He did note that the duo was “a funny little odd couple.”
In the intense finale, the final three contestants, CT, fellow Challenge alum Trishelle Cannatella, and Mercedes “MJ” Javid were left. Trishelle and CT voted to banish again. But there was a three-way tie, with each contestant getting a vote. They voted again, and MJ was banished. And she was bitter about it. So, Trishelle and CT split the $208,100 grand prize.
Maybe Phaedra and CT will continue their friendship. After all, they will always have The Traitors to bond them.
