Porsha Williams’ Husband Simon Guobadia’s Company Sued for Six-Figure Sum Over Alleged Unpaid Private Plane

The allegations against Simon Guobadia keep on rolling in. First, it was the stories about his past life as a fraudster. Then, his wife Porsha Williams shocked the world by filing for divorce only 15 months into their marriage. Now, we’ve learned that his company has been slapped with a major lawsuit over a private plane.

According to Radar Online, Simcol Petroleum Limited Company, which is owned by Simon, just got sued for by a company called NetJets Aviation, Inc. They’re a company that runs a “fractional aircraft program,” which allows for multiple owners to contribute towards the ownership and use of a private plane. Allegedly, Simon’s business stopped paying for their plane, so NetJets is demanding a huge chunk of change.

Private plane problems

The court documents explained how Simon’s business entered into a lease agreement in August 2020 for an aircraft. He had 12.5% interest in the plane, and he agreed to increase it to 15.62% interest on July 3, 2021. Unfortunately, the payments from Simon slowly stopped rolling in.

The lawsuit explained, “Defendants breached the terms of the Program Agreement by failing to timely pay to Plaintiffs all amounts due under the Program Agreement, and Plaintiffs terminated the Program Agreement under its terms on or about February 28, 2023.”

NetJets claimed that Simcol owned $974,213.11 when the payments stopped. In August 2023, they entered a payment arrangement where Simcol was supposed to pay $839k in monthly installments with interest. They made an initial payment of $25k towards the agreement, but then failed to make their subsequent payments. That prompted NetJets to take legal action.

Per the court documents, NetJets is seeking the remaining balance of $814k plus interest. They also want Simon to pay their legal costs. Meanwhile, Simon and his company haven’t responded to the lawsuit, which was filed in January 2024.

This lawsuit adds just another layer to the confusing timeline of Porsha and Simon’s relationship. We have so many questions. All we know is that with a divorce on his plate and now a pricey lawsuit over a private plane, Simon is about to spend a good chunk of 2024 in court.

Don’t forget, Real Housewives of Atlanta can also be streamed on Peacock amid the hiatus.
