Despite all of Ariana Madix’s successes after Scandoval, one unrealized goal still looms over her head – Something About Her, the upcoming sandwich eatery. Now, Tom Schwartz has shared his thoughts on the yet-to-open shop.
Ariana planned the restaurant with her best friend and Vanderpump Rules costar, Katie Maloney. The business had a lot of buzz around its conception, with merchandise flying off the online shelves. However, the eatery repeatedly saw delays, and fans began to speculate on whether Something About Her would open at all.
Some went as far as to say the restaurant was never meant to open and was a rug-pull for merch sales. Recent reports suggest the shop will indeed open. So, what are Schwartz’s expectations ahead of the shop’s big debut?
Schwartz thinks SAH is “poised for success”
As per Bravo, in Schwartz’s appearance on the February 20 episode of Watch What Happens Live, he discussed the future of Something About Her. A viewer wrote in to ask Tom if he truly believed the sandwich shop would open. “Yes, I do, and I think that it’s going to be a smash hit,” he responded.
Before anyone could accuse him of bootlicking, he added, “I’m not just trying to kiss butt. I really do. It’s in a prime location in West Hollywood, and I think it’s poised for success.” Of course, VPR fans know that Tom intends to be in Ariana’s good graces in a timely manner. Schwartz made it clear he has a five-year plan to befriend the Broadway star again.
As for SAH, Katie revealed on The Nikki & Brie Show that all of their permits were in order and they were just waiting for “the final walkthrough that we need.” She added, “I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it’s just having to be patient. It is not easy, but we’re so excited. It’s gonna be so great.”
