Last week big news broke about Brandi Glanville threatening Andy Cohen. She had her “team” of lawyers fire off a letter to NBCUniversal, Warner Bros, Shed Media, and others saying in 2022 Andy attempted to engage Brandi in an inappropriate act.
This is strange for several reasons, but mostly because Brandi calling anyone out for being inappropriate is … a choice. Should we go back and call up Carlton Gebbia, Eileen Davidson, or Joyce Giraud? What about Lisa Vanderpump, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards, Caroline Manzo, or Denise Richards?
Needless to say, Andy responded to Brandi’s allegations the same day they came out. He seemingly closed the convo but Brandi’s attorneys are now hitting back. This should be interesting and Page Six has the details.
The ongoing plight of Brandi Glanville …
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans probably recall Brandi’s heyday on the show and the damage she caused while there. LVP was slapped, Eileen had wine thrown in her face, and Denise was accused of having an affair with her. That’s just one show, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip is a whole different deal.
Early last year, Brandi was accused of being sexually inappropriate with Caroline during a RHUGT-filmed party. She allegedly touched Caroline without consent and her life blew up as a result. Now she’s accusing Andy of instigating an inappropriate act and trying to involve her.
Andy has since apologized and implied the moment was a “joke” and Brandi also took it as a “joke.” Brandi’s attorneys Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos aren’t pleased with Andy’s show of remorse.
“Any boss who is clearly inebriated and encourages their employee by FaceTime video, and invites the employee to watch their boss to have sex with another employee, constitutes sexual harassment, plain and simple, under any definition of sexual harassment even one concocted by NBC,” the lawyers said in a statement.
They added, “Why is Andy Cohen getting a pass? Any other supervisor at Comcast/NBC who engaged in this behavior would be fired immediately on the spot.” Is this a good time to point out to the lawyers Brandi has been given approximately 837 passes by Bravo and this whole stunt is bordering on pathetic?
The lawyers said NBC has “mistakenly given” Andy “too much power” by letting him host reunions and allowing him to host Watch What Happens Live. They also said the network has “clearly decided that he is too big to fail.” Then they went after Andy for apologizing.
What is Brandi’s end game?
“In fact, if it was such a known joke, then why did he apologize?” Because you threatened him, genius. “The reason is that Andy knows he is in a position of power which allows him to control where and how much Brandi works, which allows him to do whatever he wants and behave in a fashion that is abusive and harassing.” Brandi doesn’t work because no one wants to film with her, but go off.
Next they will be accusing Lisa Vanderpump of using her Jedi mind powers to force Andy to make an inappropriate suggestion to Brandi. This isn’t over yet, but it should be. Stay tuned.
