In June 2023, Lisa Vanderpump announced that she’d be opening a new restaurant, Wolf by Vanderpump, at Lake Tahoe.
The gorgeous alpine lake, which sits on the border between California and Nevada, is a vacationer’s paradise. Offering skiing and snowboarding in the winter, boating and water sports in summer, the lake is a haven. Mark Twain called Lake Tahoe “the jewel of the Sierras.” It would be the perfect spot for an LVP restaurant.
Unfortunately, all these months later, the restaurant still has no firm opening date.
Little visible progress made
Since announcing the restaurant was “expected to open this winter,” very little information has been released.
The upscale cocktail bar/restaurant will be located inside Harveys Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino in Stateline, Nevada. Harveys’ website proclaims, “Opening soon. Wolf by Vanderpump will have a full menu that will delight guests with its ingenuity and delicious flavor. The menu will be crafted for every season.” But not this one, apparently.
The U.S. Sun is reporting that there is “no set opening date,” despite the winter season coming to an end within weeks (depending on the weather in the unpredictable Sierras). “There is currently heavy construction going on and it is not ready to open yet,” a source has revealed.
“The opening date was projected to be March 1st, but now it’s closer to mid-March,” the insider continued. “Depending on how long construction and the finishing touches will take, it can even open by the end of March.”
At the moment, public access to the restaurant, which is on the casino level, is blocked by a large “Wolf by Vanderpump” construction wall.
At the beginning of February, several job listings appeared on LinkedIn for Wolf, including a bar attendant, food runner, assistant sous chef, a cook, and a lead food host.
Part of Vanderpump Rules Season 11
Wolf by Vanderpump will be part of Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules. You might have seen news articles back in the summer about Scheana Shay, Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz, James Kennedy and Tom Sandoval filming in Lake Tahoe in July.
Social media buzzed at the time with Bravo fans criticizing Lala and Scheana for filming with Tom Sandoval so soon after Scandoval.
Cast members Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney chose to stay home, as they were trying to open their own eatery, sandwich shop Something About Her — which is also still not open.
