It probably isn’t good news once Lisa Vanderpump is worried about your restaurant. The details on Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s sandwich shop delay have been sketchy at best. After spending much of last season working on the progress, they’ve now reached what seems to be a permanent stall.
Permits, permits, permits is all we’ve been hearing. Most people, like myself, don’t understand the logistics of opening a business, so the “permit” excuse has been enough to quiet many questions. Now LVP has “concerns” regarding the Something About Her opening delay and if Mother is troubled, it’s not a great sign.
Something About Repeated Delays
After dealing with multiple interruptions in its debut, Something About Her remains closed. This sucks because the Season 11 opening credits of Vanderpump Rules will highlight both Something About Her and Schwartz & Sandy’s.
According to The U.S. Sun, LVP has been “in the dark” about much of the process. A source said, “Lisa has recently expressed concern about the progress of the shop and when it’s expected to open.” Not for nothing, perhaps consulting Lisa would have been beneficial seeing where things stand at this point.
The insider added, “She had a lot of questions about what was going on and was seeking answers from those who could provide more insight.” While Lisa didn’t invest in the eatery, obviously she’s interested in Ariana and Katie’s welfare – along with being an EP of the show they’re both on. Along the way “Lisa has been doing a hands-off approach and letting Ariana and Katie run the show when it comes to the shop.” And we all see how that’s turned out.
“Quite frankly, it appears she only steps in when it comes to filming at the shop. Or having a conversation about the shop for the show,” the source shared.
Currently, Ariana is rehearsing for Chicago and not even in California. Katie recently gave another update and said “permits.” Outlets have reported the Pump Rules stars have sunk about $1 million into the project, so hopefully things will work out soon.
