Brandi Glanville has been having a tough time lately. But she is still doing her job. She recently discussed Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy cast member Kelly Bensimon on her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered. Brandi thought that Kelly wasn’t being truthful about her finances after her divorce.
Meanwhile, while filming Season 4 of RHUGT in Morocco, Brandi was accused of allegedly touching co-star Caroline Manzo without her consent. Brandi was sent home, and Caroline decided to leave. The drama was intense. The season has been shelved, for now.
All of this stress negatively impacted Brandi’s health. She was diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema, which causes her face to swell and affects her speech. That sounds awful.
Brandi thought Kelly was lying about her divorce settlement
After all, Kelly spent a great deal of time on RHUGT telling her co-stars that she was left with “nothing” after her divorce from Gilles Bensimon. Gilles was a famous fashion photographer. In 1997, the duo got married, but divorced after 10 years. Kelly pushed the narrative that she was a single mom who supported her daughters financially.
But Brandi wasn’t buying what Kelly was selling. “She claims that she didn’t get anything from her ex-husband. I’m sorry but that’s just not true,” Brandi stated.
She continued, “If someone gives you a $12 million house in the Hamptons you’ve got something and I promise you, she didn’t get nothing. It’s just impossible.” Would Brandi like some toast with her side of jelly? Kelly won custody of the mansion in East Hampton in the divorce. She sold the residence in 2012 for less than half of the asking price of $5.76 million.
“You saw her house in the promos. The way she lives, the kids,” Brandi said. “The whole ‘I came from nothing and I built everything on my own,’ it’s just… there’s no way – he was so rich – that she got nothing.” Brandi’s guest, Kelly’s RHUGT co-star Kristen Taekman, asked Brandi if she believed that Gilles was, indeed, swimming in cash.
“Yes, I do. Gilles Bensimon? 100 percent,” Brandi explained. “He was a huge fashion photographer. He shot every cover of ELLE.” Brandi added, “I’m sorry, she got stuff. Trust me, she didn’t get what I got which was sh*t.” Oof.
