2024 feels like Ariana Madix’s year. After discovering that her ex-boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, was cheating on her with Rachel Leviss, the Vanderpump Rules star had a rough couple of months before quickly finding her footing.
In April 2023, Ariana went public with a new man, who was based on the East Coast. The NYC resident, Daniel Wai, and his lady love have been doing the long-distance thing since then. But as fate would have it, a recent professional opportunity has brought Ariana back to the Big Apple.
She’ll be starring in the legendary musical Chicago. For that reason, she’ll be taking a bite out of NYC.
Ariana likens the New York move to “riding a bike”
In December 2023, Ariana made the announcement that she was cast in the Broadway hit Chicago as Roxie Hart.
Presumably, the rigorous obligations would demand that Ariana relocate to New York City, if only temporarily. The opportunity now positions her to be able to live and work in the same city as Daniel.
But besides the significant other, Ariana is excited to be back in a city she’s lived in before. The Vanderpump Rules star shared her thoughts on the matter with Extra.
“Some parts of it are like riding a bike … taking the train and walking everywhere things like that. I was like, ‘Okay, I remember how to do this’ and then other things are just … it’s a different city than when I lived here before because I was here pre-Instagram, pre-iPhone, pre-social media. It is very different in a lot of ways but I think that that’s just you know the world at large,” Ariana explained.
Not that Ariana has cut ties with Los Angeles entirely. She is still a part of the Vanderpump Rules cast, and will have to film in LA in future. And there is still the issue of the house that Ariana bought with Tom. She and co-star Katie Maloney are due to open a sandwich shop called Something About Her in the area as well.
So it seems that the reality TV star will be bi-coastal for now. One thing is sure, Ariana’s star is rising and she has so many opportunities to choose from.
