It’s easy to build up resistance to unsavory people in reality television, but Taylor Ann Green has taken it to a whole different level. And that’s really saying something when it comes to the cast of Southern Charm.
The Season 9 reunion is in progress on Bravo and the first part aired this week. There were some bombs dropped, courtesy of Taylor, right on Olivia Flowers’ head. Just when you thought Tay Tay couldn’t go any lower, she went full limbo.
Welcome to Petty 101
Today’s Word of the Day is Deflection. Merriam-Webster defines “deflection” as; a turning aside or off course: DEVIATION. Basically, what I’m saying is after Taylor made a fool out of herself, she’s trying to deflect from her actions. During the reunion, she aimed for Olivia, but it wasn’t the hot take Taylor thought it was.
Olivia had a rough season. She found out her friend hooked up with her ex and talked smack about her. Her brother also passed away during filming, much like Tay. Now she’s had to admit to hooking up with Thomas Ravenel in the past, thanks to her FORMER friend.
Obviously, Taylor was going to be in the hot seat when the cast got back together – but to be fair, she put herself there. At one point she muttered, “Forgive as you would want to be forgiven,” towards Olivia. First of all, stop using convenient biblical verses to make it look like shitty behavior is okay.
But Taylor isn’t clever and Olivia knew what she was doing. “Go ahead and say it. I already see what you’re trying to do. You’ve been hanging this over my head. I wanna see it. Say it. Say it,” she said.
While poor Andy Cohen was trying to figure out what was happening, Craig Conover opened the door, “Well, just say it now. I mean we’re here.” Then Taylor, with what can only be described as a smug smirk on her face, commented, “The whole Thomas situation.” Taylor doesn’t want to talk about the whole Shep situation. Or the Whitney situation. Or the Austen situation.
Andy’s eyeballs fell out of his head and he asked, “Thomas Ravenel?”

Olivia revealed, “I was fresh out of college, 20 years old, dumb drunken night, one time, had a hookup with T-Rav, and I wanted to take to my grave. Who wouldn’t?”
At last season’s reunion, Madison LeCroy tried to out the T-Rav tryst but Olivia denied it and Taylor backed her up. Now Taylor only backs up to whomever can make Shep jealous.
“Right afterwards, I sat down with Taylor, and I said, ‘I appreciate you taking up for me, but you should know something did happen, and she’s the only person I told on earth about that, and here you are sitting now trying to use it against me,” Olivia continued.
Andy wanted to know why Olivia needed to be forgiven for banging Thomas when it was ten years ago. Taylor failed again when she tried to insinuate it was some kind of slight towards Kathryn Dennis. “I mean, same situation. Kathryn is a friend and confidant and you lied about it, so why didn’t you go to Kathryn and say I’m sorry?” Taylor must not know what “same” means.
But Olivia didn’t even know Kathryn and met her long after it happened. Ultimately Olivia called Taylor a “shit friend” and a “shit human” and … 10/10 no notes.
