Bethenny Frankel Slams Teenagers Buying Luxury Makeup and Skincare

The Real Housewives of New York City alum, Bethenny Frankel, is back with another close-up, jump-scare of a rant. This time, the target of Bethenny’s oft-activated wrath was the current trend of “spoiled” teens splurging on luxury skincare and makeup at Sephora. Bethenny has a 13-year-old daughter, Bryn Hoppy.

However, you won’t catch Bryn with a Dior-slathered face. Bethenny recently posted a video on Instagram sounding off about the lunacy of tweens and teens splurging on pricey beauty products.

Read on to hear her take on the costly craze.

Bethenny Frankel on makeup-buying teens: “Bitch, you’re 14 … not on the same level”

Many of us likely came up on a healthy routine of Neutrogena and Lip Smackers copped from the local CVS. Bethenny took to Instagram yesterday to decry teens shelling out wads of cash at Sephora.

Bethenny, clad in shades and a fur hood while two inches away from the camera explained, “I was always a drugstore person, because [shopping at Sephora] seemed like it was so expensive.”

“Now, girls that are my daughter’s age, that are her peers, talk to me like I’m their peer. ‘So what do you think of the Dior? Do you have the Drunk Elephant? Do you have the Charlotte Tilbury?’ And I’m like, ‘Bitch, you’re 14,’” she ranted.

Bethenny, who prides herself on frugality and loves the word “level,” added, “We’re not on the same level, and I don’t even want to pay that.”

Bethenny, who frequently shares reviews of both luxury and drugstore beauty products, then declared Sephora as “very pricey and often unnecessary.”

Even though Bethenny could bathe her daughter’s room in Charlotte Tilbury and Dior, she chooses not to. “If I wanted to, I could fill my daughter’s entire mattress with Charlotte Tilbury and Dior and Chanel products, but I don’t.”

Bethenny then had some pointed words for the kids who are cleaning up at Sephora. “I’m sure they’re a bunch of spoiled brats. And I’m not looking to raise a spoiled brat. It’s psychotic that kids think they could spend $50 on a blush or hundreds of dollars at a beauty store.”

She concluded that it all comes down to parenting. “I certainly don’t let my kid hang out all weekend at Sephora spending money on my credit card.”

Did I just agree with Bethenny about something? Even a broken clock is right twice a day. She’ll be back to her old tricks of interrupting airports with her vagina and trying to take down Bravo in no time.
