Tamra Judge Thinks ‘Every City Needs’ a Monica Garcia

Since the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City finale, it’s all anyone can talk about. Spoilers ahead if you didn’t watch! However if you haven’t watched it, please set down your work/child/life and go and watch it immediately.

On what is being hailed as one of the most explosive episodes across any Real Housewives franchise, RHOSLC newcomer Monica Garcia was exposed as being the brains behind a troll Instagram account.

The account in question, Reality Von Tease has existed for years now. But it wasn’t until Heather Gay’s digging that the cast and viewers alike discovered that Monica was part of it. And had been using her newfound place on the show to further feed rumors and leak information about her colleagues. Quite the betrayal. Not everyone thinks it’s a bad thing though.

Monica was “the best addition” to the show, says Tamra

Tamra Judge, who is quite possibly Real Housewives’ original villain, took to her podcast Two T’s in a Pod, to defend Monica’s presence on the show. Fellow Real Housewives of Orange County castmate Emily Simpson was a guest and sparked a hot debate on the matter.

While Emily took issue with Monica’s deception, Tamra called Monica “the best addition” to the show.

During her appearance, Emily mused, “I think the thing that upsets them the most is when you think of someone like Monica, It doesn’t seem to me that she has any boundaries. And that’s scary to film with.”

Tamra seemed to agree, and Emily pressed on. “When you’re on a cast with someone who has nothing to lose and they have no boundaries, no ethical or moral boundaries, that’s when it becomes very scary as a cast member. And you don’t want to be on a cast with someone like that,” she elaborated.

Tamra’s defense of Monica

That is where Emily lost Tamra because Tamra’s reply had some serious conviction. “Every city needs a Monica. She’s probably the best addition. She carried the show this season,” she stated.

I’m not sure if every city needs a Monica, but Tamra isn’t wrong that Monica carried this season of RHOSLC. Without her, there would have been next to nothing to create drama, much like the lackluster season prior to this one.

Love her or hate her, Monica certainly made her mark on RHOSLC, which was undoubtedly her goal from the very beginning.

Part one of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Reunion airs Tuesday, January 9, at 8/7c on Bravo.
