Angela Deem has been a controversial 90 Day Fiancé cast member for years, but has her time on the franchise come to an end? Angela made her debut on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, when she flew to Nigeria to meet her now husband, Michael Ilesanmi, for the first time. After becoming engaged, Angela and Michael later appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, where they eventually married.
The honeymoon phase did not last long for Angela and Michael, as the former caught the latter cheating. Nonetheless, the couple were able to work through their problems on 90 Day: The Last Resort. However, as a result of her problematic behavior on the spin-off, rumors began to swirl that TLC had fired Angela.
So Was Angela Fired?
Rumors of Angela’s alleged firing began to surface during her time on The Last Resort. While Angela has always been controversial, she was arguably at her lowest during Happily Ever After? Season 7 and The Last Resort.
During Happily Ever After? Season 7, Angela traveled to Nigeria without telling Michael ahead of time. Angela confronted Michael at his house unannounced, and proceeded to lunge at him and tear apart his car. This made viewers see Angela in a different light, as she had never resorted to this level of violence in the past.
Angela didn’t work on improving her reputation during The Last Resort, where she continued her aggressive ways. In one of her worst moments, Angela got into a physical confrontation with castmate Liz Woods. Angela got all up in Liz’s face, and completely disrespected her personal space. The incident escalated to the point that hotel security had to intervene, which was not a good look for Angela.
But taking that all into consideration, did Angela really get fired? Surprisingly, the answer is no. After hearing about the allegations, Angela took to social media to set the record straight. She referred to the rumors as “fake news,” confirming that the rumors had been nothing but rumors.
Michael Is Now In The U.S. With Angela
Angela and Michael have been popping up quite a bit recently, and not for reasons you may think. After years of waiting, it appears that Michael is finally in America with Angela. Michael was one of a few 90 Day Fiancé cast members who struggled to get a US visa. After Michael’s K-1 visa petition was denied, Angela applied for his spousal visa after their marriage. It looks like it may have finally been approved, as Michael has been spotted on American soil with his wife.
So what does Michael’s arrival in America mean for his wife’s future on the 90 Day Fiancé franchise? Michael has been waiting to reunite with Angela in the U.S. for quite some time, and viewers would certainly be interested in seeing them together in America. As a result, it would not be a surprise if Angela and Michael return to the franchise sometime soon, finally living together in the same place.
What Show Would Angela & Michael Be On?
If Angela and Michael were to return to the franchise, it isn’t clear what spin-off they could star on. It isn’t confirmed that The Last Resort will be returning, and if it does, it will most likely feature a cast of all new couples. Given that the newest spin-off focuses on couples therapy, it would be an issue if couples were cast twice in a row. As a result, Angela and Michael will likely not return to The Last Resort.
On the other hand, it’s possible that Angela and Michael could return for Happily Ever After? Season 8. TLC confirmed that Happily Ever After? Season 8 would premiere in March 2024, although we do not yet have a cast list. Since Angela and Michael have been featured on the previous three seasons of Happily Ever After?, it would not be a surprise if they return for a fourth.
Since we now know that Angela was never fired from TLC, it would make sense for her and Michael to be cast on another show. With Michael now being in America, his and Angela’s story now has the potential to be as dramatic as ever.
