Kyle Richards Regrets Exposing Morgan Wade Friendship

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards is unsure what the future holds. Perhaps she should give Allison DuBois a call?

Her life has changed so much in the past several months. She’s been in the headlines since announcing her separation from Mauricio Umansky. She stopped drinking alcohol and now sticks to a rigorous diet and exercise regimen. And her close friendship with country musician Morgan Wade has caused massive speculation in the press.

Now she’s wondering if bringing so much attention to her relationship with Morgan was a good idea. The gossip about them having a possible lesbian love affair and being the cause of her split with Mauricio hasn’t been easy. But taking care of herself physically and mentally is helping her get through this tough time. These days she’s focusing her attention on stuff that “makes me feel good.” Us Weekly has the details.

Married her “whole life”

The mom of four girls admits she is “still struggling” with the recent changes to her life, particularly when it comes to her marriage. Being single is a whole new world since she’s basically “been married my whole life.” She and Mo met in 1994 when she was 23 and he was 24. They married in 1996.

“We still live in the same house, and we spent [the holidays] together,” she recently said. “I have no idea how long we’ll be like that, but we are trying to be as normal as possible in a very un-normal situation.”

“We love each other,” she added. “We go to therapy [and] both want to see each other happy. I don’t know what the future looks like. That’s the hardest part because the unknown is scary.”

The breakdown of the Umanskys’ marriage has been a featured storyline on Season 13 of RHOBH. Until now, Kyle and her real estate mogul spouse had been the golden couple of the show. Fans were shocked by the breakup.

“People were upset when they heard [we] were having problems,” Kyle confessed. “I felt like we let people down. Some were saying [our marriage] was a farce the whole time. But there were also sweet and supportive messages. I didn’t know so many people cared, but they’ve been in my home for 13 years watching us.”

Feeling “unbreakable”

As for bringing Morgan onto the show, Kyle does feel bad about bringing so much public scrutiny to their friendship. “I did [regret bringing her on camera],” the Halloween actress confessed. “Even though she’s an artist and a musician, she’s not someone who wants this attention.”

Kyle’s been through a very tough year, but that’s only reinforced her commitment to take care of herself, both physically and emotionally. “When I feel good and my hair looks good, I feel unbreakable,” she said at BravoCon in November. “For me right now, everything is about … feeling strong physically, mentally, spiritually. So I’m doing everything I can in my power to make sure that I am unbreakable.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
