Even though Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge and BFF Shannon Beador are on the outs at the moment, Tamra feels sympathy for her. A video recently surfaced showing former RHOC cast member Alexis Bellino making out with Shannon’s ex, John Janssen.
During her December 19 Two Ts in a Pod podcast with Teddi Mellencamp, Tamra said she “just really feel[s] bad for Shannon.” When she came across the video, Tamra’s reaction was, “Oh no.” She confessed she’d be crushed if she and her husband Eddie Judge broke up, and he began dating Alexis. Teddi agreed with her, calling John and Alexis’ behavior “mean-spirited.”
“I just wish these pictures would not surface,” the Vena CBD owner continued. “[It’s] their business. But I am kind of feeling really bad for Shannon … if Eddie and I split up and this was Alexis and him, or him and [Teddi] … Having to see it, it’s difficult.”
Dos amigas no son buenos
Tamra and Shannon initially fell out when Tamra commented on one of Alexis’ Instagram posts. Apparently, Jesus Jugs had asked her followers not to “believe rumors,” and Tamra responded with a string of clapping hands emojis. Shannon interpreted that response as a show of support for Alexis and took offense, which was not Tamra’s intention.
“It’s because I liked one of [Alexis’] pictures,” Tamra explained. “[Shannon] got mad at me because … I put clapping hands under ‘Don’t believe rumors’ … [At that time] I did not think, for one second, [Alexis and John] were dating.”
But Tamra believes it’s only a temporary falling out. “We’ve had ups and downs as you’ve seen. We got into a little tiff,” she said.
Why the relationship is especially hurtful
In a December 2023 interview with E! News, Shannon shared that the relationship is especially hurtful because of the lawsuit Alexis’ ex-husband filed against her in 2018. “John is very well aware of a lawsuit that I was involved in with Jim Bellino,” the Real for Real founder said. “Alexis was involved in that lawsuit. I was financially and emotionally devastated for years … I won. But it devastated me financially … John’s aware of that.”
She also wondered why her ex would begin a romance with another Bravolebrity, let alone a former co-worker and one-time friend. She also claimed that John never liked being “in the public eye, and he’s thrust himself more into the public eye at this point. So, I’m quite confused about that.”
Though they’ve only been dating a short time, John reportedly gave Alexis a “promise ring” for Christmas (are they in high school?). Did John just trade in Shannon for a younger, hotter model? And why would he go back into the Bravo pond for his new girlfriend?
But others think Alexis is just trying to make herself relevant again so she can recover her orange. That would certainly make for some awkward situations on set. Just the way Andy Cohen likes it!
Alexis, married to cringey Jim at the time, was previously an RHOC cast member on Seasons 5 through 8. Even though no announcement has been forthcoming, there’s been a fair amount of chatter over Alexis’ possible return for Season 18. Place your bets now.
