At her latest cabaret show, Luann de Lesseps called out her former Real Housewives of New York City co-star, Bethenny Frankel.
“Now, back to Bethenny. You know, listen, why bite the hand that feeds you?” she asked the audience while performing at 54 Below, according to Page Six. Luann’s comments came after an audience member asked the reality star her thoughts on Bethenny.
It’s no secret the pair have had a rocky relationship. Since the early days of RHONY, these two OGs have never seen eye-to-eye. Luann slammed B not only for coming after the genre of reality TV but also for coming after Andy Cohen and NBC Universal. “Why bite Andy? Why bite NBC?” she asked.
Luann wants Bethenny to leave Bravo alone
Since Bethenny’s RHONY departure, she hasn’t been shy about her feelings regarding the Real Housewives franchise. She’s called it toxic and referred to it as a “machine” that isn’t good for the show’s stars. In December 2023, Bethenny and Andy, who had a close relationship, fell out after an intense Watch What Happens Live appearance. This incident fueled Bethenny, who later announced her plans to unionize reality television.
For Luann, on the other hand, she’s been loyal to Bravo and hasn’t been impressed with B’s latest mission. “You know, just go off into the sunset,” she said at her show. “You make millions and gazillions of dollars. If you claim you do, then why are you still harping on us? Why are you talking about us?”
It’s safe to say Bethenny likely won’t be back on Real Housewives (or any other Bravo show, for that matter), but one thing about her: she doesn’t play. So, even if there hasn’t been much chatter surrounding her efforts to create a union, it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. In fact, you should always expect the unexpected regarding this one.
