Katie Maloney has some thoughts on Tom Sandoval, and she isn’t alone. He’s probably dancing a jig of joy at his name being uttered by so many this year, regardless of the negativity.
Vanderpump Rules is preparing to return for Season 11 and we already know some have accepted Tom back into the fold. The newly released trailer found Sandoval using coping methods amid his failure at life and I guess the big question is, did screaming into the air fix him? According to Katie, Tom might be “working” on himself, but it’s giving few results. She spoke about it on an episode of Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe – because if you aren’t talking about it on a podcast, is it even happening?
Sandoval’s one note
Katie isn’t entirely convinced Sandoval is changing his tune but he does at least know how to apologize. That said, there is little effort in saying two words and a lot of effort in changing yourself from douchebag to moderately tolerable.
Accordingly, Katie doesn’t have a lot of faith that Sandoval “has worked on himself” after cheating on Ariana Madix with her friend. She also doesn’t think there’s a lot of meaning behind Sandoval’s atonement for having a major affair. At best, he’s sorry he was busted.
While big statements were made at the Season 10 reunion, not everyone is following through. Scheana Shay, the biggest victim in Scandoval if you ask her, is snuggling back up to both of the Toms. Lala Kent while vicious at the reunion, is now only vicious if Rachel Leviss’ name comes up. But Katie has her eyes wide open.
The Pump Rules star added, “I think apologies are words. I think when someone is really sorry, you see that they are sorry. You see it with behavior modification. You see them changing, like, how they operate. And it’s one thing to say you’re sorry. It’s one thing to prove that you’re sorry.” Yeah the only thing Tom changed is he went back to wearing normal shoes after the tall girl dumped him.
As for Season 11, Katie thinks a few fans will get behind Sandoval once again. “Maybe some will,” she noted.
