The OG of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes, broke hearts when she left the franchise. When she held her peach, NeNe was the life of the party, often handing out drama in abundance. NeNe was legendary and kept Bravo viewers well entertained. While she didn’t get along with everyone, this trait often worked out in her favor, giving her some iconic lines. She even had quotes for every possible life situation, like “I said what I said.” Everyone misses NeNe, so here is a list of some of her best moments throughout her time on the show.
Shading Kenya Moore
NeNe made sure to move on up into a mansion in Buckhead, so when Kenya Moore called to invite her over for tea, NeNe wasn’t exactly prepared for how long of a trek it would be. Even though it was only Kenya’s temporary home, the mother of two wanted to show support during RHOA Season 6.
Upon arrival, NeNe was appalled by the lack of luxury, but it seems she was genuinely offended by the white refrigerator. After pulling up in her Range Rover and stepping out in her red bottom pumps, NeNe only had one way to describe the state of affairs, which was “Whew, Chile, the ghetto.”
NeNe’s Date
Back in Season 4, NeNe was being wooed by her business partner, who laid it on pretty thick. John Kolaj was a mix of super creepy, cheap energy, and, at any moment, he risked slipping on the floor due to his oil-slicked hair. It was pretty clear that NeNe was not into him, yet she agreed to go out to dinner at Valentino’s.
During dinner, John gifted a Rolex to his crush, but NeNe hesitated to accept it at first. However, after being force-fed ravioli finally, she notes, “Bling bling bling, bi*tches is mad.”
Stay Out of Women’s Business
NeNe had a stark warning for Peter Thomas after getting into an altercation with Gregg Leakes. The memorable line came after Gregg tried to brawl with Peter physically. NeNe had had enough of Peter’s meddling as he was known for often disrespecting the group of women.
NeNe lashed out, yelling, “You know I am not going to be disrespected. This is what you need to do: stay out of women’s business. You are the only husband who gets involved.” NeNe ended her spat by saying, “We happen to like Peter a whole lot more than we like Patricia.”
NeNe vs. Kandi
Kandi Burruss rarely gets into it, but NeNe came for her during Season 7. The two were not always the closest in the group, and the tell-all proved that. Kandi was asked about the drama sharing, “If I’m a hater, then all I am doing is hating on someone who is a hater.” In NeNe’s opinion, she was over being spoken negatively about, with both agreeing just to be cordial and move on, leaving fans with the infamous line, “We see each other.”
NeNe Is Rich
Who could ever forget that NeNe was cast on The Apprentice and worked alongside Donald Trump? Not us because she never let viewers forget her small achievement. Long before the rest of us plebes were ever given Trump stimulus checks, NeNe made it known to Shereé Whitfield that she was cashing Trump checks. In an attempt to silence Sheree and her booking investigation, NeNe clapped back, “Here we go, Star Jones. What you don’t understand is while you were running your mouth with him, I was running to the bank, sweetie, depositing a Trump check.”
In an attempt to shut down Shereé once and for all, NeNe shamed her fellow cast member, noting, “I’m rich. I’m very rich, bit*h.” I mean, how could you counterattack with a line like that? The other ladies never stood a chance. Currently, there are no plans for Bravo to bring back NeNe, but we have every finger crossed they will change their minds.
