Lisa Rinna, what are you up to honey? Rinna is on a mission, what that mission is remains to be seen. First, she told the world John Mellencamp’s daughter is one of the greatest Real Housewives in history, causing some fans to worry about her state of mind. In another surprising move, she’s now sucking up to Kathy Hilton.
Is this Lisa trying to get back in the good graces of the cast, or at least Kyle Richards? After trying to take Kathy down in Season 12 by revealing an alleged racist meltdown during an Aspen cast trip, Season 13 finds Lisa without a diamond and sending roses to her former nemesis. According to Kathy, the flowers didn’t end up in the trash. Allegedly.
Is Rinna trolling?
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, a fan asked Kathy if Rinna had sniffed around trying to reconcile. “Actually yes. I have received the most beautiful giant flower bouquet and a beautiful card, and I called her to thank her. We talked for about 20 minutes,” Kathy replied. Interesting.
Andy Cohen wondered if the rough waters had finally calmed between the RHOBH alums. “Absolutely. She’s doing well and I’m very happy for her. We always had such a good time. … until we didn’t,” Kathy said. And isn’t that how the pattern usually went with Rinna? She had many friends when she started the show in Season 4, but over the years her mouth had the uncanny ability to push everyone away.
Kathy added, “Especially now, with everything we’re all going through in this world, we’ve gotta be together.” This is quite a change of pace from “the biggest bully in Hollywood” considering Rinna had previously labeled Kathy as “the devil.”
For context, the final episode of Season 12 found Rinna and Erika Jayne accused of leaking info to media outlets regarding Kathy’s purported tantrum. Kyle later revealed it was EJ’s publicist who spilled the beans. Also, where was this publicist with the loose lips during #puppygate?
Well, all we need now for Hell to freeze over is Rinna sending Lisa Vanderpump and Kim Richards some balloons and an apology cake. I can’t wait to see how far this redemption era takes her.
