This could be the most one-sided friendship in all of Real Housewives history, but Kyle Richards and Sutton Stracke have trudged on. Sure, the Georgia native can be obtuse at times, but when has Kyle ever stuck her neck out for her?
Most recently, on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton hit a nerve with Kyle after she asked her friend how she was doing. The actress took offense to her friend seemingly giving credibility to the rumors of her husband, Mauricio Umansky’s, infidelity.
Before all that, Sutton had a couple of meltdowns that she had to apologize for and so early in the season. In real-time, post-season production, Kyle has stated her need for space from the friendship. And Sutton is happy to oblige.
Sutton is “always” there for Kyle
“Sometimes if you need space from someone — I didn’t do anything. But sometimes, you have to get space away from someone and maybe I am something that — I represent something. And that’s okay,” Sutton told Us Weekly during a recent interview.
“I know that I am always here when she needs me. And I’ve sent her that message before. I adore her. And I only want to be here for her as a friend when she needs me,” Sutton added.
So while the quirky RHOBH star is there to support Kyle by giving her space, her friend has taken offense to many of Sutton’s recent comments.
Kyle revealed her grievances on Teddi Mellencamp’s Two Ts In A Pod podcast. She didn’t like Sutton’s comments about the prices of tickets at Erika Jayne’s Las Vegas residency, “Bet It All On Blonde.”
“Between that and her comments on my marriage, I was like, ‘Okay, I need a little break,’” she explained.
Sutton responded, “I didn’t even know she said that. But okay. She probably needs space from a lot of people. I don’t know what I did.”
