When Christine Brown finally left Kody Brown and moved back to Utah in 2021, it didn’t take her long to find love again. The Sister Wives star married David Woolley in October 2023, calling him her “soulmate” and the “love of my life.” Take that, Kody!
As her new husband prepares for his first appearance on the family’s One-on-One Special, Christine sat down with ET and poured out some tea on whether David and Kody have met in person yet.
“He’s met Kody,” Christine says of David. “There’s been a couple of times where they’ve been together.” Even though she won’t speak for her ex, she thinks the two of them will be fine when they come face-to-face. She expects them to be “kind in each other’s presence.”
Kody’s POV on Christine’s new relationship
“You’ll see it in the One-on-One, it’s hilarious,” Christine shares. “I’ll let you watch the [show] for that one ’cause then you’ll see how Kody feels. But David’s always a gentleman. He’s always going to be kind and good.”
“He was so nervous! It was so cute,” Christine says of her husband’s first time in front of the cameras. “You’re gonna see him a lot. He’s not in this season at all. He’s in a special, and, of course, he’s in our wedding. And he’s wonderful, and he’s so good and he’s so kind.” How refreshing that must be for her, after what she’s put up with for so many years!
The mother of six says David didn’t need any coaching before going on-camera. He was “just himself.” And we should be seeing more of him in the future, as the newlyweds are set to be featured on a regular basis in the new season.
“It’s all very overwhelming to him,” Christine admits. “It’s a lot but he does it with grace.”
What she’d been waiting for her ‘whole life’
Christine and David met online in October 2022, and then in person for the first time in December 2022. Within a month of meeting David in person, she was already looking at wedding dresses.
“We just made sense,” she says. “I took a breath and I realized, ‘Oh, this is what I’ve been waiting for my whole life.'”
