Jax Taylor does not have a great reputation. The fact that so few fans are begging to have him back on Vanderpump Rules speaks for itself. Of course, when it comes to bad VPR reputations, several stars might have him beat at this point.
Case in point, Tom Sandoval, whose terrible antics need no explanation. While Tom Schwartz considered himself only guilty by association, Pump Rules fans certainly didn’t see it that way.
Unfortunately for Jax and Schwartz, guilt by association is still very real. So, in a post-Scandoval TV landscape where Jax and Schwartz attempt to keep a positive relationship with Tom Sandoval, the two are going to get blasted for it.
Should Jax cut ties with the Toms?
On Thanksgiving, Jax posted a screenshot of his Instagram story to Twitter. The picture featured Jax with Sandoval on his right and Schwartz on his left. “Got the band back together,” Jax captioned the story, with three turkey emojis following. On Twitter, he also wrote a caption with a glass of alcohol emoji, and an evil face, showing perhaps a modicum of self-awareness.
As soon as Jax let the picture go to Twitter, fans had a field day with it. As one reply wrote to Jax, “Never have you been more the number 1 guy in any group.” One user replied in a similar vein, writing, “Aww Jax don’t lower yourself to their level.” Another user simply wrote, “Nightmare fuel.”
Another reply read, “Is this when you all get together and then lock Sandoval in the closet until he learns how to behave?” on a more serious note, also said, “Like he hasn’t been a good friend to you in a long time.” Of course, there were other fans defending and supporting the trio. “It’s time to move on and forgive Tom!!” one fan said.
