I’m sure die-hard fans of NeNe Leakes are hyped there’s buzz surrounding a possible, but not likely, return to Real Housewives of Atlanta. After NeNe left RHOA, she went nuclear on both Bravo and Andy Cohen. She also recently teamed up with Bethenny Frankel and seemed to get in on the reality tv reckoning which took place between 2023 and 2023 (#neverforget).
While the reckoning hasn’t really taken over, BravoCon did and it was there Andy spoke on possibly having NeNe return to Bravo. He was definitely ambiguous and made sure not to say anything negative, which turned into chatter about NeNe’s big comeback. Amid speculation something big is about to happen, turns out it might take a minute. If it happens at all. The Messenger has the scoop.
Not so fast, NeNe …
An insider shared “There have been no talks of [NeNe’s] returning” to RHOA at this time. But we all know the show is in big trouble and we all know who could save it. Unfortunately, NeNe burned a lot of bridges when she chose to sue Bravo and simultaneously insult Andy repeatedly.
That said, it looked like something might be happening when NeNe deleted all traces of Bethenny and her reckoning podcast from Instagram. A source shared, “It meant nothing. She [NeNe] was just cleaning up her feed.” There was also excitement when Bravo followed NeNe on Instagram and NeNe followed back.
NeNe has admitted she would return to RHOA “for the fans” but she also probably “needs the check.” Since her departure from the show, NeNe hasn’t had a regular gig because she was busy trying to sue the network. Ultimately, she wound up dropping the discrimination suit.
Andy and NeNe might not be texting back and forth right now but Andy is no dummy. Despite unresolved personal feelings about NeNe and her public bashing, he may pull a Hail Mary to put RHOA back at the top. Never say never.
