Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers weren’t the only people stunned by Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s split. Some of Kyle’s co-stars were also stunned by the power couple’s separation. It seemed to come out of nowhere. That is until fans started watching Season 13 of RHOBH.
Viewers saw cracks start to form in Mauricio and Kyle’s marriage. They announced their separation in July 2023 after 27 years of wedded bliss. And Kyle recently shared that her sobriety played a role in their marital tension. Cheating rumors on both sides also followed the Umanskys.
In July, Kyle’s RHOBH co-star Garcelle Beauvais admitted that she and Sutton Stracke had some questions about the couple’s relationship. And while she knew they were struggling, she didn’t expect them to separate.
Garcelle is holding out hope for Kyle and Mauricio to reconcile
“I thought they were the perfect couple,” Garcelle told E! News. “I thought everything was great. And unless you’re in someone’s bedroom, you really don’t know.”
Garcelle doesn’t know where Kyle and Mauricio’s relationship stands right now. “I don’t have any insight. I think it’s really sad, but I think 27 years of marriage, things shift, and obviously there’s a shift,” Garcelle said. “There’s a shift with her for sure, but I think they’re having a hard time. It’s sad.”
Kyle has been on a transformative journey with her physical health, both working out and cutting out alcohol. Garcelle acknowledged that Kyle is a “different” person during Season 13. During the ladies’ trip to Las Vegas, Kyle’s early morning workout routine confused her co-stars.
Meanwhile, Garcelle still has hope that the longtime couple will end up together. “The fact that they’re still living together says something, right?” she remarked. Living with an ex is becoming a trend, so I’m not sure that is a positive sign. But fingers crossed.
