Teddi Mellencamp and tension seem to go hand-in-hand these days as she continues her crusade to create more off-camera drama with Housewives than she ever did while on-camera as a cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
RHOBH star Sutton Stracke has been no stranger to being on Teddi’s recent diss docket. This time, Teddi came for Sutton’s assessment of why her own dating life is so dismal. While Sutton said she believes her superior intellect is one of the things that turns her dates off, Teddi surmised that Sutton’s own opinion of herself and how she expresses it might be the root of the problem.
Teddi doesn’t think Sutton’s superior brain is her issue
Teddi started in on Sutton last month when Teddi was a guest on Watch What Happens Live. Teddi lashed out at alleged accusations Sutton made on RHOBH about PK Kemsley having a mysterious woman in his car when he was pulled over for DUI. So, Teddi fired back that Sutton has vodka in her purse at all times.
And on the November 2 episode of Teddi and Tamra Judge’s podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, Teddi took on Sutton and her dating life.
According to Sutton, she’s just too darn smart for the dating scene. In RHOBH Season 13, Episode 2, she theorized that her lack of getting second dates is due to her intellect being “superior to most,” her modest fashion choices, and her tendency to “act strangely” when she’s nervous. Teddi thinks the issue might be something else. Namely, Sutton’s inflated opinion of her intelligence.
Teddi started in on Sutton. “She says ‘Her intellect is bigger than most!’ But I mean, I feel like the fact that she would even say her intellect is so bigger than most, means so is her ego. Maybe, it’s not the cat sweater. It’s the ego.”

Is Sutton egotistical or self-aware?
Tammy Sue stepped in to offer her appreciation for Sutton’s self-awareness, but Teddi doubled-down. Apparently, claiming your intelligence intimidates potential partners doesn’t quite qualify as self-awareness in her book.
“She’s obviously not fully self-aware if she’s going to say that she’s not ended up with a guy because she’s smarter, and her intellect is higher than all of them,” answered Teddi. She also added that she didn’t appreciate the way Sutton talked to the matchmaker who was trying to help her water her dry spell.
