If there’s one thing any Bravo fan worth their salt could have predicted about BravoCon 2023, it was that Tom Sandoval was going to be booed. A good chunk of us also knew that he’d lap up the attention, whether negative or positive.
What many of us couldn’t predict, is that Vanderpump Rules co-star Lala Kent would leap to his defense. During the Pump Rules panel in Las Vegas, the crowd were relentless. They booed Sandoval whenever he was given the opportunity to speak.
It seems as though the vast majority of VPR fans still aren’t ready to forgive Sandy for cheating on Ariana Madix with Rachel Leviss. Some of the cast, however, may have decided to move on.
Lala doesn’t know if it’s “respect,” but she’s got some admiration for Sandoval
“In a weird, weird way, I don’t know if it’s respect, but with everyone really hating on Tom, he still went out, he still performed shows, he’s sitting in front of y’all getting booed,” Lala said. “If I were in his position, I’d tell y’all to go f*ck off.”
He also received some love from friend and business partner, Tom Schwartz. Sandoval said of his bestie: “He went through some tough times because of me, and he dealt with a lot of residual negativity. And I really appreciate you sticking by, man.” While the crowd booed, Schwartz replied, “”For better or for worse, ’til death do us part.” Gross.
Sandoval said of appearing at BravoCon: “I’d rather stand here and face it. I don’t know what you do.” He certainly showed up, but did he actually have to answer any tough questions? Where were the reporters asking about him filming Rachel without her consent in an intimate moment? Because I sure as hell want to hear how the worm with a mustache tries to wriggle outta that one.
