The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley is still rooting for friends and co-stars Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky.
According to E! News, the reality television star shared her insight into the pair’s ongoing separation and her reaction to hearing the news about their marital woes earlier this year.
Trouble in paradise
In a tense RHOBH preview clip, Dorit and Kyle talked about “a heaviness” that the former sensed in the latter. The clip ended with Dorit asking, “You wanted freedom specifically from your husband?”
“I had known that they were having some trouble,” Dorit shared. “But when I saw the article, I was surprised because it felt like it was more than just trouble. I would say everyone was shocked. I love them both, and I want them to be happy. If that means it’s not together, it’s sad. That’s why, selfishly, I was very saddened by it.”
Dorit is just the latest housewife who has expressed her sadness at the couple’s marital problems. There may be light at the end of the tunnel, though. Recently, Kyle and Mo — who have been married for 27 years and share daughters Farrah, Alexia, Sophia, and Portia — have said that they are still working on their marriage.
And the Beverly Beach founder is just as hopeful as Bravo fans that the two can mend their relationship. “Ultimately, if they decide that they’re not going to be together because that’s not quite established yet,” Dorit said. “It’s like this overwhelming sadness and surprise.”
Friendship renewed
And while Dorit’s sentiments are sweet, the fans also couldn’t help but wonder where the Bravo stars’ friendship stands today, considering they were drifting apart following an explosive Season 12 reunion.
“As far as Kyle and I in our relationship, after the reunion last year, Kyle distanced herself from a lot of her friends,” Dorit explained. “Sadly, even I was part of the group of people she distanced herself (from). We’ve come back now, and Kyle and I are great friends. She’s going through a lot. I am here for her and vice versa. I want the best for her, and we’re in a good place.”
It’s good to hear that they’ve got each other’s backs because Dorit may be facing her own problems. Alongside Kyle and Mauricio’s marriage issues, rumors have swirling regularly about Dorit and husband PK Kemsley’s marriage also potentially being on the rocks.
Despite denying the split rumors, one can’t help but think that where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Looks like Kyle and Dorit both need a really good friend.
