Lauren Manzo Divorce: Vito Scalia Files After Eight Years of Marriage for This Reason

Lauren Manzo is going through a divorce, and the headlines are quickly stacking up. If you watched the early years of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, you definitely know Lauren, Caroline Manzo’s only daughter. The youngest of three, Lauren was so involved in the show, she was practically a housewife herself.

Before Caroline exited the franchise, we got to see Lauren’s longtime relationship with Vito Scalia. The two were married in 2015 in an event that was filmed for the Manzo family spinoff, Manzo’d With Children.

It’s now been confirmed that Lauren and Vito are going through a divorce. So what’s the tea?

Is Lauren Manzo still married to Vito?

Lauren Manzo is still married to Vito Scalio, but the two are going through a divorce.

Court documents show that Vito filed for divorce in September of this year. Vito explained his reasoning in the filing. “The parties have experienced irreconcilable differences for a period of at least six months which has caused the breakdown of their marriage and it is apparent that the marriage should be dissolved as there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation.”

Despite the pending divorce, the two allegedly still live together in the house they bought in 2016.

Lauren was served at the end of September. Her lawyer told the court that he would be representing her. His representation would include “all financial related issues, including, without limitation, alimony, equitable distribution, and counsel fees.” Lauren and Vito have a six-year-old daughter together.

Making the waters even murkier in this split is that Vito filed the Marital Settlement Agreement back in July, before even filing for divorce.

A quick response to the headlines

The former reality TV star quickly responded to the news on her Instagram. She wrote, “By now you guys have seen the news that has broken. I just want to let you guys know we’re all good. This has been done for a very long time. The last part of the process was filing. We were on the same page. This is something that we did together.”

Lauren went on to say, “All that matters to us is that our daughter is happy and healthy. Our privacy is important to us. We haven’t been on TV in seven years, which is why we did not feel the need for some dramatic announcement.”

“And we continue to move forward with love and respect for each other. And we will always be a family, and that’s it. It’s about our daughter and her privacy, because she didn’t ask to be on TV — we did,” Lauren concluded.
