Pump Rules star Katie Maloney is opening up about friendship, and what it means to her. Scandoval created quite the schism in the Vanderpump Rules cast. Multiple VPR stars have come forward to say that filming Season 11 was one of the hardest, loneliest tasks they’d ever faced. At Season 10’s conclusion, anyone in their right mind was on Ariana Madix’s side, including Katie.
But even though Scheana Shay also voiced support for Ariana, a slight schism remained. Katie and Scheana were never the closest of co-stars. At certain points, they seemed like bitter enemies. Things took a turn for the worse during Katie’s divorce from Tom Schwartz.
At the time, reports came out that Scheana had encouraged Tom to get with Rachel Leviss. Reportedly, Katie blamed Scheana for the whole thing. However, what tears apart can also mend. Many believed that Scandoval had brought Katie and Scheana closer to one another. Recently, they addressed the situation more head-on.
Can Katie and Scheana repair their relationship on Pump Rules?
The e.l.f. Cosmetics YouTube channel posted a video titled “Make Up Over Makeup,” featuring Katie and Scheana. As Katie was doing Scheana’s makeup, she asked, “What would you say I need out of friendship?” Scheana began, “I know you need loyalty.” Katie mentioned her divorce and how “real” that was to her. Scheana agreed.
In regards to loyalty, Katie said, “If one of my closest friends has beef with someone, I got beef with them. That’s how my loyalty works.” Scheana nodded and said, “No, I know.” Later, Katie said, “You have one version of what’s happening. Do you want to actually know what’s happening, or do you not?”
Scheana nodded again and gave her co-star a light, playful shove on the shoulder. Katie responded with, “Girl, I’m bigger than you. I could take you.” Scheana laughed. Many fans expressed their delight at seeing the two together, including Ariana Madix who said “gorgeous gorgeous girls” in Katie’s TikTok comments.
Vanderpump Rules is expected to return to Bravo in early 2024.
