Below Deck Down Under is only two seasons in, and already Captain Jason Chambers has stolen fans’ hearts. The hunky Aussie has impressed viewers with more than just his good looks. Captain Jason has demonstrated excellent leadership by appreciating his crew, giving second chances when appropriate, and taking swift and decisive action when necessary.
He’s been a joy to watch on Below Deck Down Under, and as fans learn more about his personal life, Captain Jason has also emerged as Bravo’s most eligible bachelor. Jason has left more fans thirsty than any of the other Below Deck captains, and he almost certainly gets the most viewers sliding into his DMs.
Recently, Captain Jason opened up about his dating life to Us Weekly, calling it “so difficult.” However, he also expressed optimism and a desire to find someone special. There are a lot of male cast members in the Bravo family, but none seem as great on (or off) paper as Captain Jason. Let’s take a look at what makes Jason the network’s most eligible bachelor.
Captain Jason Is Single and Open to Dating
First thing’s first—what’s Captain Jason’s relationship status? After all, he’s not a very eligible bachelor if he isn’t, in fact, a bachelor. Good news ladies, Jason is currently totally single.
Though Jason was once in a long-term relationship with his ex, Fuchsia Quinn, the two split a while ago and are now co-parenting their daughter, Saskia. Fuchsia and Captain Jason seem to have a completely respectful and amicable relationship, which is a big green flag. Jason’s top priority is his daughter, which is probably why it’s so important for him to be on good terms with his ex. You can tell a lot about someone by the way they talk about their exes, so Jason’s healthy relationship with Fuchsia is a very good sign.
It’s also been enough time since he ended things with his ex, and Jason says he’s ready to move on and find new love. Captain Jason told Us Weekly that he’s not actively dating, but is hoping something will “happen organically.” However, he added, “If something pops up [then] something pops up. Hopefully it pops up soon.”

Ok, so Captain Jason is definitely single and definitely open to finding someone new—that’s two boxes checked. But that’s base level stuff, what really rockets Jason to the top of our Bravo bachelor list is just how awesome he is.
Captain Jason’s mature good looks have made an impact with fans, and there’s even more to like about his personality. As viewers have seen on Below Deck Down Under, Jason seems like a blast to hang out with. He’s got a great sense of humor and is always a good sport, even when it comes to serving up breakfast in bed while sporting a pair of budgie smugglers.
Captain Jason Knows What He Wants
Another box that Jason checks is actually knowing what he wants. There’s not going to be any wishy-washy behavior coming from the Aussie captain. Anyone who’s dated extensively knows that finding a partner who has an idea of what they’re looking for is both difficult and essential. Captain Jason stands out because he’s got his eye on the prize.
In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, the Captain revealed some of the qualities he’s looking for in a partner. Jason hopes to find someone who is “very independent and secure in their own situation,” due to his hectic work and travel schedule. A partner who needs to spend a lot of time with their significant other probably wouldn’t be a good fit for Captain Jason, and the fact that he knows that is notable.
Captain Jason also is looking for someone who shares his interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Though Jason is an active person, he admitted he can “sometimes I can be a lazy a**” and would like to be with someone who can motivate him.
Just Look At Captain Jason’s Competition
Jason has many great qualities, but honestly, it’s not hard to name him Bravo’s top eligible bachelor—after all, just look at the other options. Vanderpump Rules has two single men in the primary cast, Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, but neither is very appealing. Carl Radke of Summer House is recently single, but only because he called off his engagement, blindsiding both his now-ex fiancé and their wedding guests. What a catch.
The Below Deck franchise actually has some good options in terms of single male cast members. However, they’re all much lower ranking than Captain Jason, and they don’t quite bring as much to the table.
Captain Jason is a jewel among rocks, and he truly stands apart from all the other Bravo bachelors.
