While Ariana Madix is seen as the victim in the Scandoval situation, some Vanderpump Rules viewers can’t get behind her. Like most reality TV stars, Ariana came onto the Bravo scene, blissfully unaware that she may hit it big. After transferring from Villa Blanca to SUR, Ariana bartended with Tom Sandoval and Jax Taylor. This made it an easy transition in the WeHo group. So why do so many find Ariana unbearable when she has been made into the sweetheart of the network?
Ariana Was the Other Woman
How quickly some viewers have forgotten about Ariana’s tryst with Tom while he was still very much dating Kristen Doute. For years, Tom claimed that he and Ariana were just close friends, but they only started getting to know one another after she was moved to SUR. When Bravo fans first met Tom during Season 1, he was in a relationship with Kristen for several years. However, during Season 2, their compatibility started to falter. Tom admitted in the 2014 premiere episode that he had cheated on the aspiring actress with a bottle service girl in Las Vegas while traveling for a modeling job.
Prior to the breakup, Kristen accused Tom of having feelings for Ariana. Tom finally came clean, revealing he had, in fact, hooked up with Ariana at the tail end of his and Kristen’s relationship. Fans find Ariana’s response to Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss a bit hypocritical since, at one point, she was also the other woman who played a part in ending a relationship. Doomed or not, Ariana should have known to steer clear.
Ariana Is Making Bank off Her Heartache
What’s the saying? Don’t hate the player; hate the game. Well, this is exactly what riles Vanderpump Rules fans up so much when it comes to how Ariana is handling her post-break-up work ethic. Since the Season 10 reunion, Ariana has had more than her fair share of companies willing to work with her.
Between Lay’s, Bloomingdale’s, BIC, Uber One, and a ton more, Ariana is literally laughing all the way to the bank. Some fans feel she is being offered a pretty penny when Tom and Rachel have been crucified for cheating nothing, it wasn’t like they murdered anyone. Some fans have gone as far as to swear off all the brands she promotes. While this writer isn’t about to give up her potato chip cravings, it is understandable why some may be upset with the star for cashing in on her broken heart.
Ariana Is Hanging With the Enemy
Thanks to some eagle-eyed fans who are keeping tabs on the cast, it has been revealed that Ariana has been seen filming with Tom for Season 11. A fan caught Ariana dancing it up at TomTom, clearly enemy territory on TikTok. Viewers were stunned to see that Ariana felt it was okay to step foot into the establishment even if the cast was filming inside. Many think Ariana KNOWS she is being watched and acts caught off guard when fans start chanting her name. To many, her moves seem to be calculated.
Ariana Was Cruel to Rachel
The Season 10 reunion was rough. Whether you watched it with popcorn or through your fingers, it didn’t go unnoticed that Ariana laid into Rachel. While screaming at the former beauty pageant contestant, Ariana called Rachel out, noting she was “sub-human, worthless, and a fu*king rat.” While viewers can empathize with Ariana’s heartache, the terms used to describe an already fragile Rachel were cringe-worthy at best. Viewers were hoping Ariana would take the high road.
Instead, she continued her barrage of insults, including telling Rachel to “Fu*k yourself with a cheese grater. Fu*k you.” The Something About Her co-owner said, “You’re disgusting, and I wish nothing but the worst fuc*king sh*t that could ever happen to a person on you.” Ariana’s visceral hate unleashed at Rachel seemingly allowed news outlets, bloggers, and fans to follow suit. While Rachel is no angel, she doesn’t deserve the onslaught of hate that comes her way.
