Former Chrisley Knows Best Star Savannah Chrisley Says She’ll “Never Forget” Her Parents’ Expression When Hearing Their Guilty Verdict

At this point, I don’t know if we’re supposed to be feeling bad for Chrisley Knows Best alum Savannah Chrisley. Maybe someone needs to yank her head out of the deep sand pit from which it is buried. It’s obviously a defense mechanism designed to avoid the truth of admitting her parents are not who she thought they were.

Savannah and her family basically lost everything when Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to jail after a conviction of fraud and tax evasion. The Chrisleys allegedly paid themselves instead of paying others and now they are paying their debt to society in the finest prison garb.

What really sucks is when a parents’ greed outweighs the best interests of their families. Including children. But we’re no stranger to moms and dads preferring to live lavishly to legally. Once the parentals are in jail, the children are left behind to pick up the pieces and live their lives pretending the crimes committed were all a big mistake. It’s harmful and potentially debilitating, but hey they all love their kids so it’s totally okay.

In Savannah’s case, she now has custody of her minor brother and niece. This woman who was never allowed to mentally develop over the age of 18 is now essentially a mother with no discernible life skills and a very skewed version of authenticity.

After Todd and Julie reported to prison in January, Savannah has kept active on her podcast and making guest appearances on media outlets. But all she can really do is keep reliving what was probably the most horrible moment in her life. Page Six has the details.

On an episode of the Off The Vine With Kaitlyn Bristowe podcast, Savannah shared, “I will never forget the moment, sitting in that courtroom every day, a four-week trial. And it took three days for the verdict to come back.” Savannah maintains her parents’ innocence. Todd and Julie also refused to take accountability for their actions which is probably why their combined jail sentences are 19 years.

She continued, “I will never forget when they stood up to read the verdicts and it was like, guilty, guilty, guilty, like over and over and over again. And I just saw the looks on my parents’ faces and just everything, they were just in tears. We were not expecting that, we were like, ‘There’s no way’.” It’s because they were guilty and thought their c-list fame would factor into the verdict. It didn’t. Much like Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum Jen Shah, Todd and Julie should have taken the deal. That said, Savannah revealed another appeal will be entered this month. “I hope that this appeal will show those things because we were never given an evidentiary hearing by the judge.”

Savannah also wants people to know she has no ill will toward her folks. “I know the things they have and have not done. I know the witch hunt. When the government wants someone, they want someone.” Denial is definitely trending this season. Because the government has nothing else to do but target Southern crooks. Yes, efforts towards maintaining financial compliance for all Americas became obsolete because Todd went out and bought a new Range Rover. Come on, honey.

Savannah continued, “They’re going to do whatever it takes to make it look how they need it to look. There’s no resentment whatsoever.” Kudos to Sassy for not allowing that resentment to seep in – yet. As the family continues to get used to their new normal, Todd and Julie are still getting acquainted with the heartbreak of missed Botox appointments. Don’t worry Todd and Julie, you only have 12 and 7 years to go, respectively.

TELL US- DO YOU FEEL SORRY FOR SAVANNAH? DOES SAVANNAH NEED TO STOP DENYING HER PARENTS’ CRIMES? DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE FAMILY IN A NEW REALITY SHOW?
