Eminem Is Trying To Block Gizelle Bryant And Robyn Dixon From Trademarking “Reasonably Shady”

It’s official—Eminem is no fan of the green-eyed bandits, Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant. As The Real Housewives of Potomac stars attempt to trademark their “Reasonably Shady” brand, the real “Slim Shady” is trying to stop them in their tracks. Page Six obtained legal documents that reveal the fight Eminem and his team are putting up to prevent Gizelle and Robyn from trademarking their “Reasonably Shady brand.” It’s a feud that no one would have predicted for 2023.

Of course, Robyn and Gizelle have been hosting their podcast, Reasonably Shady, since 2021. On RHOP, we’ve watched the ladies grow their podcast into a booming side hustle, expanding their presence into live shows. Robyn even used the platform to explain away Juan Dixon’s questionable extramarital behavior. As their podcast continues to blossom, the green-eyed bandits are trying to trademark its name. But Eminem has filed an opposition claiming that his brand will be “damaged’ if Robyn and Gizelle successfully trademark their podcast.

Rapper Eminem, AKA Marshall Mathers, AKA “Slim Shady,” has been using the nickname “Shady” since the ’90s and early 2000s. He has owned the trademark for “Shady” to use on merch for years. However, Gizelle and Robyn are trying to trademark “Reasonably Shady” to plaster the name on lip glosses, water bottles, hats, socks, and more. For some reason, Eminem believes this will “cause confusion in the minds of consumers.”

According to Reasonably Shady’s official description, Gizelle and Robyn’s podcast “features conversations about being fearless women as they recount stories from their exciting lives. Topics include dating, relationships, marriage, entrepreneurs, motherhood, style, glam, current events, and more.” To think that consumers will confuse this podcast and its merch with Eminem sounds like a reach and a stretch.

Robyn and Gizelle haven’t released an official statement on their new trademark battle with Eminem. You’ll probably have to subscribe to their Patreon to hear their rebuttal. However, they have until March 26, 2023 to submit an official response to Eminem’s trademark opposition. Obviously, we’re rooting for The Real Housewives of Potomac.
