Haters be damned! Reality TV personalities have always had to deal with a lot of trolling on line. Sadly, it’s the nature of social media although I’m sure we all wish it wasn’t. I never condone trolling but it’s especially upsetting when the subject seems like such a lovely person. Case in point, Love Is Blind’s Deepti Vempati. She was a fan favorite and it was like everyone was rooting for her, especially after she stood up to slimy (ex) fiance Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee.
But even fan favs have to deal with trolls and haters. As reported by Page Six, Deepti clapped back at online bullies making fun of her nose. In a TikTok live, she stated, “You guys, this is my real nose. Stop making fun of it. This is how I was born. I’m not changing it.” For all of you who have been cheering along her possible relationship with costar Kyle Abrams, he also appeared in the video.
Deepti added that people need to “get over it” when it comes to her appearance. She told those who tuned in, “It’s my f–king face.” At this point, Kyle jumped in to joke that if anyone needed a nose job it would be him. He also adorably shared that he was Deepti’s “biggest fan.”
While the two haven’t said publicly if they are an item or not, his appearance fueled speculation that they are romantically involved. The rumors date back to March when they were spotted together at a Chicago restaurant. The following month, the two posed for a picture at Coachella with Kyle’s arm around Deepti.
Their relationship wouldn’t be all that surprising to fans who watched the Love Is Blind reunion. During the special, Kyle admitted that not asking Deepti to marry him was his “biggest regret.” Apparently, the two had quite the connection in the pods, but it ended up getting edited out. Said Kyle, “I should have tried harder for [Deepti]. I love her so much; she’s the best. And I wish I saw what was right in front of me, and that’s my biggest regret. I’m sorry.”
For her part, Deepti said that Kyle wasn’t her first choice but they did have a bond. She said back in March, “I don’t think a lot of people know this, because they didn’t show it on camera, but Kyle was my No. 2 person in the pods. I was really on the fence about if I should choose Shake or go with Kyle.”
As we all know, Deepti did end up picking Shake, who proved to be a complete jerk. After finding out from other cast members that he was trashing her behind her back, she dumped him at the altar. The she told viewers that she deserved better. Once again, proving that Deepti was the one to root for.
Kyle also became engaged to someone else – Shaina Hurley. The two broke up before even making it to the finale at the altar. Kyle was upset on the show but ultimately took it in stride. Most likely because he was now free to pursue the girl he really wanted. Now if they would just admit it…..
