Let’s hope the third times a charm! After receiving proposals from (and subsequently breaking up with) Arie Luyendyk, Jr. on Season 22 of The Bachelor and Garrett Yrigoyen on her own Season 14 of The Bachelorette, Becca Kufrin finally just decided to “do the damn thing” herself.
As reported in People, Becca is engaged to Thomas Jacobs. On Sunday, May 29th, Becca posted on her Instagram, “In the ultimate plot twist…HE SAID YES!”
“We’ve been keeping this secret just between us and close family & friends for a while but we’re so excited to shout it from the rooftops!” Becca wrote. “I finally found my chauffeur for life and the one who makes my heart smile every single day. I can’t wait to do it all with you Tommy, thanks for making me the happiest gal alive. I love you to the moon & back.”
Becca‘s post shows a picture of Thomas wearing his new engagement ring, while holding a champagne flute full of bubbly rosé. Did she forget the roses?
In his own Instagram post, Thomas added, “The ultimate UNO reverse card / power move. You keeping me on my toes for a lifetime has a great ring to it. Cheers to forever Boops.” (“Boops?!” That’s adorable.)
After unsuccessfully competing for Katie Thurston‘s hand on Season 17 of The Bachelorette, Thomas then traveled to Mexico for Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2021, where he met and became engaged to Becca.
But even though they were in Paradise, the road to love wasn’t smooth. During an emotional season finale, Becca and Thomas broke up. Happily, they reconciled after filming.
“I’m sorry for breaking up with you on national television, but I’ll take every day to make it up to you, Tommy,” she posted on Instagram, while the BIP finale aired. “Thanks for making my heart smile far more than it ever has. Now time to start this real life.”
