More trouble in Beverly Hills. Garcelle Beauvais seems to be on everyone’s bad side lately. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star already had a very public falling out with costar Erika Jayne. After Garcelle used a clip of her roasting Erika in the season 12 trailer on an Instagram post promoting her new book, Erika threw it in the trash. For all of social media to see. Then Garcelle had to defend her decision to even talk about her castmates in her memoir.
Now she’s pissed off Kyle Richards over a comment she made on Watch What Happens Live. Garcelle was asked if she was closer with Kathy Hilton than her own sister Kyle. To everyone’s surprise, Garcelle responded, “Absolutely.” Kyle, who is notoriously cagey about family, said she was “hurt” and “shocked” by the comments. Garcelle reached out to Kyle to privately apologize. But it looks like Kyle isn’t quite over it.
As reported by Reality Blurb, Kyle appeared on an episode of Two T’s In A Pod and shared her lingering feelings. The pod is hosted by Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp, who Kyle is still close friends with. Kyle started, “I was home making a pre-Passover dinner for my family, my husband [Mauricio Umansky] and in-laws and everybody, and someone sent it to me, the clip of Garcelle saying that, and I just immediately started to cry. Because honestly she answered it so quickly and to be honest… it was very pompous, very pompous to say something like that, like arrogant.”
Kyle pointed out that Garcelle has only known Kathy for “a reality TV show season and a half.” But that she and Kathy are “blood sisters for an entire lifetime.” Obviously. She continued, “It really hurt. Garcelle and I weren’t arguing or anything and I just thought, she really certainly didn’t think of my feelings in that moment she just thought about maybe wanting to impress the audience or something.”
Kyle added, “But with that said, I guess a little birdie got back to her and told her that I was upset and I did get a text, apologizing and saying that it was reckless of her.” Kyle then confirmed that the “little birdie” who outed Garcelle was Sutton Stracke. She went on to say that she was so distraught, Mauricio was concerned. Said Kyle, “I was really so upset and my husband kept saying, ‘Are you okay?’ The whole night my mind was elsewhere but then she sent a text saying, ‘I’m really sorry. It was reckless of me.’ So she did acknowledge that. Because it really was.”
As her final point of contention, Kyle stated, “And the worst part of all? It creates more damage. Imagine her and her son have a falling out, they’re not speaking and I’m talking to her son and I say, ‘Well I’m closer to her son than Garcelle is right now.’ That’s blood. You can’t say that.”
