I have to give a littttttle credit to the cast of Vanderpump Rules. Lisa Vanderpump’s bar spinoff show has fallen off the rails completely. The cast is disconnected, the show lost its central premise, and barely any of the stars even clock into SUR anymore. However, the cast still manages to keep us interested in their drama, even if we don’t want to watch it on TV.
Whether it’s Lala Kent exposing Randall Emmett as the dirty dog he is or James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss doing a total 180 on their engagement, there’s a lot to keep up with. And because nearly every one of the main cast members has a podcast, there’s really not much need for the show to fill us in on the blanks. It’s OK — all good things must come to an end.

Most recently, the Pump Rules universe was rocked by another unexpected split. Well, let’s face it — there was writing on the wall. Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are getting divorced after spending more than a decade together. Their relationship has had plenty of ups and downs, usually escalated by Tom Sandoval who inserts himself into the middle. Schwartz is a total lovable goofball, but it makes him a pretty crappy husband. He’s being self-aware though — he knows he has some growing up to do, and his Bubba gave him ample time to do it.

Unlike Lala, however, Katie and Schwartzy are being super mature throughout their breakup. They both admit that the split has been building for months and Katie recently revealed that they’re still living together. It’s nice to see a couple unraveling the life they built together and trying to keep things on good terms. It also will seemingly prevent most of their friends (Sandoval aside, for obvious reasons) from picking sides.
Bravo by Betches recently reposted an Instagram snapshot from Tom. The photo showed him cheers-ing a beverage with his soon-to-be ex-wife. Katie reposted the picture with the caption, “It’s all good.” So in case you were still questioning whether or not there’s bad blood behind the scenes, the Bubbas are making it clear that they’re above the pettiness in this aspect.
