Paris Hilton’s cooking show just got cooked. According to People, Netflix has canceled Cooking With Paris after just one season. That’s not hot.
Cooking With Paris was a playful take on the tried and true cooking show genre, and viewers followed Paris as she invited her rich and famous friends to help her tackle simple recipes in the kitchen. In one episode, Kim Kardashian stops by, and the two socialites fumble through a frittata recipe. In another episode, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kathy Hilton comes over along with Nicky Hilton Rothschild to help Paris prepare food for a family steak night.
According to Variety, the show was “conceived by accident” during the pandemic after Paris uploaded a video of herself making “sliving lasagna” to her YouTube channel. (For those who aren’t fluent in Paris Hilton’s language, “sliving” is a combination of slaying and living. It’s not a type of meat.) The cooky cooking video went viral, so Netflix decided to make a show out of it.
When the six-episode series dropped in summer 2021, it was met with mixed reactions. Some fans adored its chaotic take on the cooking show genre, whereas others had difficulty getting on board with the campiness of billionaires trying to prepare meals in high heels and sequins. But what many critics failed to appreciate is that the show was never meant to be taken too seriously.

“I’m not a trained chef. I don’t know what I’m doing,” Paris told Variety ahead of the show’s premiere. “Most cooking shows are very boring, and I don’t watch them. I wanted to ‘Paris-ize’ it.”
Unfortunately, Paris-ize’ing a cooking show didn’t take off the way they hoped. Perhaps the format is better suited for YouTube? Either way, if you’re still hungry for more Paris Hilton content, you have plenty of options. Her Peacock series Paris In Love is still airing, documenting her fairytale wedding to Carter Reum. This week on the finale, we’ll finally see them exchange vows and seal the deal. Plus, earlier this year, Paris signed an overall deal with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television and launched her own production company, Slivington Manor Entertainment. So, Paris might not be the next big thing in the culinary world, but she’s certainly not leaving our TV screens entirely anytime soon.
