Below Deck Sailing Alum Jean-Luc Cerza-Lanaux Finally Admits He Is The Father Of Dani Soares’ Baby After Paternity Test

While we’re in the midst of another unusual season of Below Deck, I’m realizing I miss watching the group of rambunctious yachties work hard and party harder on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. The massive sailboat, helmed by Captain Glenn Shephard, isn’t the only unsteady part of the series. There are always plenty of fights, messy relationships, and a unique cast of guests to look forward to every time Bravo gives us new episodes in the franchise. But a recent Instagram post from former deckhand Jean-Luc Cerza-Lanaux is bringing me back to the drama of last season of Sailing Yacht.

If you remember the Below Deck Sailing Yacht reunion, you might recall that there was a lot of baby drama. Alli Dore announced she was expecting, but Gary King was thankfully not the father. Dani Soares had a baby as well, and JL was essentially denying he was the daddy. He skipped the reunion and called for a paternity test, which left his former crewmates to throw their friendships with him overboard. It seemed like everyone except for Jean-Luc accepted that he was the father, but he was holding out for the DNA to prove it. In the time it’s taken him to take a paternity test, I probably could’ve done a dozen mail-in DNA tests myself no problem. But regardless, he’s finally got some answers.

Jean-Luc recently returned to Instagram to commemorate 2021 in a post that honestly makes him seem like he’s trying wayyyy too hard to seem mysterious. But that’s another matter. He decided to start 2022 on the right foot by announcing the results of the international DNA test, which he claims is the hardest thing of all time to do. Dani, feel free to chime in here.

“I am happy and proud to say sweet and beautiful Lilly rose is my daughter,” Jean-Luc announced. “Dani and I have been working and communicating together to the best of our ability.” Again, Dani, we’d love to hear your take on this. At least it sounds like they’re trying to co-parent, even though Dani and that little baby are two peas in a pod at this point since Jean-Luc has been out of the picture for so long.

TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT JEAN-LUC FINALLY ADMITTING HE’S THE FATHER? DO YOU BELIEVE IT REALLY TOOK THIS LONG TO DO A PATERNITY TEST?
