It’s a new dawn and a new day. Real Housewives of New Jersey fans are rejoicing after the news of Dolores Catania and David Principe’s split. No shade to David, but did anyone see this odd-couple working out? Fans and fellow-Housewives alike had their doubts from the beginning. David is a doctor working long hours and Dolores is…living with her juiced up ex-husband who still considers himself her soulmate. I’m just saying.
Reality Blurb caught an Instagram interview featuring Margaret Josephs recently. During her time, Marge weighed in on Dolores and David’s recent split. The Marge admitted, “I wasn’t shocked about the breakup because I think they’re moving in two different directions.” This…we knew.
Margaret insisted that despite the split she still loves David and that he continues to be a dear friend to her husband, Joe Benigno. She explained, “I happen to love David. Joe was out motorcycle-riding with him the other day. He’s a great guy… David’s a great human. He’s very close with [Dolores]’ family. [But] I think he is not interested in getting married.” Again, I think we knew this.
“I think he’s very busy being a doctor,” The Marge continued. “I think his first love is medicine. And I think Dolores is at a point in her life where she’s ready to travel and have a relationship where she’s top priority… I think people are in different parts in their life.” Wise words indeed. And good for Dolores, by the way, for putting herself and her happiness first!

Marge also hinted at the budding new relationship between Dolores and her new dude, Paulie Connell. She teased, “I think Dolores, a lot of people want to be with her and go out with her. I think there is someone she… possibly could be seeing.”
Sources close to Dolores and Paulie have already boasted about the new happy couple. Apparently these two are “practically glued at the hip.” Dolores’ long time friend even shared that the two are “very happy together” and that Paulie is a “really nice guy.” After a romantic vacation to the beaches of St. Martin, I imagine these two are enjoying each other’s company thoroughly! As they should!
