Vicki Gunvalson has had a tough few years. After a terrible season on Real Housewives of Orange County and an even worse reunion appearance, season 14 became her last. Clearly, Vicki wasn’t happy about it. Neither was her partner in crime, Tamra Judge, who also made it her last season. It was reported that the two were demoted to “friend of” status but both of them considered it a slap in the face after all the years they spent on the show. So they declined.
After the dust settled, it didn’t really get any better for Vicki. She had a public falling out with her son, Michael Wolfsmith over the covid vaccine. Which wasn’t her only scuffle when it came to the pandemic. Finally, Vicki accused her fiancé, Steve Lodge, of cheating on her. The two very publicly broke up.
Unfortunately for Vicki, she has much more important things to focus on. Like her health. As reported by Page Six, Vicki revealed that she had battled cancer. Vicki told Jeff Lewis on his podcast, “I had cancer! I just had my whole f–king uterus taken out.”

Earlier in the interview, Vicki was more vague, and stated that she was “going through a f–king tough time right now” but didn’t give details. She added, “I do not need anybody bringing me down.” So what prompted her to share? A conversation about her ex-boyfriend, Brooks Ayers and his alleged cancer scam that took over season 10 of RHOC. At the time, Vicki defended him tooth and nail and it caused a huge rift between Vicki and her castmates. Ultimately, Brooks came clean and admitted that he forged medical documents to appear as though he had been a patient for cancer treatment. They ended up breaking up and Vicki explained that she felt like she was also a victim to his con.
As for Vicki’s statement on her own cancer, both Jeff and additional guest Tamra quietly moved on without acknowledging it. While that might sound strange, it’s entirely possible that both Jeff and Tamra were likely already well aware of Vicki’s situation.
Regardless of how you feel about Vicki, I think we can all agree that no one should have to deal with cancer. Here’s hoping that she is on the road to recovery with her health.
