Wedding bells are ringing in New Jersey! People just revealed that Teresa Giudice is engaged to her man, Luis “Louie” Ruelas. Teresa Ruelas kind of rolls off the tongue, right? It definitely has a ring to it.
In season 11 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Tre tried to keep her romance on the down-low, but eventually, everyone learned there was a new man in her life. Louie finally made his television debut in the season 11 finale. He said that he was in it for the long haul, and he even made a surprise appearance at the reunion, truly cementing himself in the Housewives universe.
The couple first got together in July 2020, shortly after Teresa finalized her divorce from Joe Giudice. With that mess out of the way, she was finally free to start a new life. Louie popped the question earlier this week, and the details of the engagement are honestly so cute.
The couple has been vacationing at the Amanzoe Resort in Porto, Heli, Greece. Earlier this week, Louie posted a clip to Instagram of Teresa boarding the plane with the caption, “We are on a trip to remember.” It turns out that’s because he was planning an elaborate proposal! According to People‘s source, the whole scene was “absolutely exquisite.” Dina Manzo and David Cantin were there. They had fireworks, a violinist, candles, and roses. It doesn’t get any more romantic than that.

The source described the moment he popped the question. They explained, “The choreographed fireworks display illuminated a ‘Marry Me’ sign as Louie got down on one knee. Teresa was completely surprised.”
And obviously, Teresa said, “Yes.” So from there, the newly engaged couple stayed up until 5 am, popping champagne and celebrating their love.
Teresa’s engagement opens up an entirely new chapter in her life. It’s a new era. Without a doubt, Bravo will have cameras rolling to capture all of the wedding planning.
