Even if she’s a total mess sometimes, Karen Huger is a gift on Real Housewives of Potomac. She goes toes with Gizelle Bryant better than anybody else. She never backs down from a shot of Fireball, unless there’s a glass of milk on the table. And she doesn’t do rumors — she’ll host a press conference to put it all out there.
This season on RHOP, Karen’s been showing off a different side. She’s prepping for her vow renewal to Ray Huger, whose penis she allegedly doesn’t like. She’s been going back and forth with Gizzy, as always. And the Grande Dame has shown some compassion in her newfound friendship with Wendy Osefo. As for the candle business rivalry though, that’s merely business, darling. Nothing personal.
During the most recent RHOP episode, the Bravo editors threw a little shade at Karen, the newest ambassador (and probably the only) to Surry County, Virginia. Her first duty in the very prestigious role was to make a tourism video to promote her hometown. However, during the episode, Karen was seen filming the video in Potomac, not Surry County. And the editors didn’t shy away from making sure the viewers knew it.

Well, Karen apparently wasn’t happy with the response and took to Instagram. She posted the finished product of her video, along with a clip from the episode, to let everyone know she was just PRACTICING in Potomac. “Thank you Potomac for offering me a place to PRACTICE my Surry County Ambassador video. The actual shoot was in the beautiful Surry County VA. We welcome you,” the caption read. Karen doesn’t do liars. Unless it’s about the skeletons in her own (potentially rented) closet.
Her daughter Rayvin Huger backed up her momma in the comments. “Key word PRACTICE! They try to come for you but it’s never that,” she wrote. Sounds like a little La Dame in the making. Also, newbie Mia Thornton supported her friend writing, “QUEEN STATUS!!!!!” Queens supporting queens. Now let’s get a full cast trip to Surry County to see all the sights. But maybe the ladies will skip the winery — we don’t want a repeat of Season 5.
