Real Housewives of New York is struggling this season. And it is not pretty. During the most recent episode, the RHONY ladies filmed a music video for Luann de Lesseps’ Christmas song for charity. It was nap-inducing at best.
Eboni K. Williams came on board for Season 13 and was the first Black Housewife on the franchise. She struggled to discuss racial issues with her co-stars. Some RHONY viewers called Eboni “preachy.”
Eboni’s bestie, and naked tiki-throw champion Leah McSweeney, welcomed the conversations about race. Leah was a fan favorite during her first season. This season, she is catching some major backlash. Even Andy Cohen was surprised by the number of viewers who have turned against her.
There were rumors that “OG” Ramona Singer was going to be shown the door. Her high salary was reportedly a factor in that decision. When a fan asked if she had been fired, Ramona replied, “Nope.” The conversation was shared by @CommentsByBravo.
Newbie Friend of the Housewives Bershan Shaw called her co-stars “grandmas” and “a little bit boring.” RHONY fans seemed to agree with her honest assessment. In fact, in some concerning news, the reunion was pushed back. Filming will now begin in September of 2021, rather than August. That has supposedly delayed the filming for the next season until early 2022. Yikes!
RHONY alum Bethenny Frankel has a lot on her plate. She suddenly walked away from the show ahead of Season 12. After a harrowing 8-year divorce from Jason Hoppy, Bethenny became engaged to Paul Bernon. She also discussed her future on Housewives. “I don’t want to go back on ‘Housewives.’ It’s not where I am right now,” she stated. “I respect that I came from there… I’m moving forward.”

Of course, some of her RHONY co-stars took note of when Bethenny’s news dropped. It was at the same time as the show’s Season 13 trailer. A source called Bethenny “petty” for allegedly planning such a move.
Meanwhile, the Skinnygirl mogul commented that she doesn’t tune in to watch RHONY. Come on, Bethenny! Just admit it. “I don’t watch the shows. And I know that will be taken as I think I’m better than, I don’t love where I came from,” she said. “I do love where I came from.”
Now some fans are clamoring to find out Bethenny’s thoughts about why this season is tanking. On August 5, 2021, a fan tweeted, “What’s your opinion on why [RHONY] is so bad this season?”
Bethenny wrote, “I haven’t been watching (no shade at all-I’m just disconnected) but, knowing nothing but what you all message me, teams can’t hit home runs every game.” Hit us with some wisdom, Bethenny.

Another user tweeted, “Time for B to strap up the cleats and bat.” Bethenny seemed amused at the suggestion. “Lol this is not about me,” she replied. “Teams sometimes have sh*tty seasons…sometimes it’s the players, sometimes it’s the coaching or a combination,” Bethenny added.
Some fans made it clear that what RHONY needs is Bethenny. “That show IS you. We need you back! PLEASE!” a fan commented. Another wrote, “B a lot of people stopped watching when you left.”
