Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City Star Mary Cosby Says “I Don’t Want No Poor People Around Me”

The ladies from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are full of surprises. We all know that Jen Shah, with her microphone and tiaras, sees herself as HBIC.

And her nemesis on RHOSLC is Mary Cosby. Let me count all the ways that Mary is… unusual. She married her step-grandfather, because of an arrangement that her grandmother put in place. Mary, who is a Pentecostal minister, would inherit her grandmother’s estate if she married him. They have been married for over 20 years. And it is still weird.

During the most recent episode of RHOSLC, we met Charlinda, Mary’s housekeeper of 20 plus years. Charlinda is Mary’s grandmother’s brother’s daughter. We need a family tree for this family–please. Mary quipped that she doesn’t know anything about the woman’s life at all, but they are still family. That is so offensive.

According to The Blast, Glock Topickz obtained an audio recording of Mary insulting poor people in her congrgation. Sadly, I’m not surprised.

In the recording, Mary supposedly told her church, “Come in here draining me. I ain’t preaching over y’all sins. I’m doing everything else,” Mary said. “Halfway pay your tides. I got 14 birthday cards. Your old stingy selfies. You old poor people.” I don’t think that many ministers speak to their parishioners like that.

“I don’t want no poor people around me. Poor as hell. And if you ain’t poor, you’re stingy, so you’re still poor,” Mary supposedly added.
