I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Paul Staehle and Karine Staehle cannot stay off social media, out of the news, or away from TLC. If it feels like they have been on every show in the 90 Day Fiance franchise, it’s because they have. Although you can watch them ride the struggle bus on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, it hardly compares to the headlines they’ve been making in real-time. On the show, there are complaints about Karine not changing diapers. In the current day, there are complaints that she’s feeding Paul glass. See what I mean?
Whoever decided marriage is for better or worse obviously didn’t meet Paul the arsonist. Jealous. I miss the good old days of 90 Day Fiance when Danielle Jbali chased down Mohammed Jbali in Texas with a three-ring deportation binder. Remember when that felt dark? Simpler times. So what exactly is this soon-to-be-father-of-two up to now?
Welp, In Touch Weekly has confirmed that both Paul and Karine each got restraining orders against the other. According to the report, these two both have to stay at least 500 feet away from each other. Both orders were granted quickly. Karine’s was approved on July 31 and Paul’s on August 1.
In regard to their son, Pierre, it is reported that he is protected under both orders. Apparently, Paul is restricted from having contact with his son. It seems that a judge will decide at a later date which parent will be granted permanent legal custody.

How did we get here? Well, if you’ve been keeping up you may have noticed the tension mounting between this couple. Paul has been all over social media ranting about his wife’s short comings and twisting them into a self-pity tornado. On July 30, he documented a fight between himself and Karine on Instagram Live. What treat this guy is, eh? Paul claims the argument started when he caught Karine speaking with a Brazilian lawyer about “child support and divorce.”
Do the math. That means Karine’s restraining order was filed the very next day. Thank god. Her police report includes claims of Paul “pushing her to the floor” on several occasions. The report states he was “holding her green card and other important documents from her.” There are also reports of him “monitoring” her phone, which has been aired on the show for YEARS. The report also states he disallowed Karine from “leaving the house.” This guy is a fucking monster.

Strangely, Paul also claimed Karine went missing semi-recently. The finally free Karine used her social media to slam Paul saying, “I want you all to know that me and Pierre are doing well now. All this past days I had a lot going on. As the media showed, I had issues where the police was called because I feared for my life and my son’s life which led me to ask for help and ultimately be rescued from an environment that no longer was healthy for none of us involved in the situation.”

It’s reported that only hours after a court hearing involving both Paul and Karine on August 11th Paul took to his Instagram story, ONCE AGAIN, to share that he “regrets” not “keeping [their] marital problems private.” Uh…..ironic? No?
