On April 3, Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga shared that their father, Giacinto Gorga, passed away. The lovable man became a paternal figure for Joe and Teresa’s friends and even the Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers.
Joe and Teresa’s kids always called Giacinto “Nonno,” which is the Italian word for “grandfather.” Even the RHONJ viewers have affectionately referred to him as “Nonno” throughout the years. Aside from the obvious sadness for the Giudice and Gorga family members, there’s all an additional hurdle during this time period. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, people are not allowed to partake in large gatherings. Of course, there’s a major risk of spreading and contracting the virus.
Teresa’s omnipresent lawyer James J. Leonard spoke to People on behalf of the Giudice/Georga family members. He shared that there will be “a private ceremony for immediate family.” This will take place later in the week.
The one (slight) silver lining here is that Teresa and her family will get some privacy. All of the hard things that they’ve been through have been heavily documented on Real Housewives of New Jersey. Like most other TV shows, RHONJ has halted production. Now, Teresa, Joe, and their family members will have more privacy than they normally would.

Both Bravolebrities and fans have expressed their sadness about the loss. In short, even people who have never met Giacinto in person had a strong love for him. He is greatly missed by many people.
