Even though zero episodes of Vanderpump Rules Season 8 have actually aired, fans are already aware of a major storyline: Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute are feuding. Katie Maloney is in the mix as well, on Stassi’s side, of course, but the “Kristen vs. Stassi” narrative is getting a lot of play in the pre-season chatter.
Fans were suspicious when Kristen was noticeably absent from Stassi and Beau Clark’s engagement festivities. Stassi’s mom Dayna Schroeder even confirmed a rift between them. Then, Stassi went wedding dress shopping with Katie and Brittany Cartwright with a shout out to Lala Kent, who couldn’t make it, but zero mention of Kristen in the photo captions. Eventually, Stassi said she was “taking a break” from Kristen and Kristen commented as well. Now, Lisa Vanderpump is weighing in on the feud. We all know she hates Kristen (almost as much as she dislikes Kyle Richards). She even has Kristen blocked in her phone and on social media. So, it’s pretty obvious who LVP is siding with on this one. But, let’s see what the Pump Rules matriarch has to say.
During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, a fan asked Lisa about the feud. According to an article from toofab, Lisa said, “I think fundamentally, there’s been a difference between them.”
Then, she acknowledged her own personal bias in the matter. LVP confessed, “I mean, I try not to weigh in on this too much personally because I’ve always found Kristen a little difficult to get along with myself, but I think this year, Stassi’s grown up.” Merely referring to Kristen as “a little difficult to get along with” is the nicest thing Lisa has said about Kristen in a loooong time.

Lisa continued, “They both have grown up, I have to say. She’s got a book deal now, Kristen. And Stassi’s getting married, and she’s been on the Best Seller list. So they’re both growing up, but I think the divide just got wider and wider.” Translation: Stassi is more mature than Kristen. Or at least, that’s how I interpretted Lisa’s remarks.
Lisa remarked, “I don’t know, but there’s years of history, so I’m hopeful because it’s a shame to break up such a long friendship, but I don’t know.” And then, she returned back to the true matter at hand: promoting Vanderpump Rules Season 8. Lisa teased, “This season, it was very bumpy. Very bumpy.” And I’m looking forward to it. Is it 9 PM yet?
